@owlstalk Posted yesterday at 14:55 Posted yesterday at 14:55 The Owls are pleased to share some exciting updates to the beer token system currently being trialled in the South Stand at Hillsborough. What’s new? Beer tokens can now be redeemed for all draught pints, including the newly available Madri, and Guinness is now included. Selling points have moved to: The former betting booth/bottle bar on the rear wall of the South Stand concourse (near Gangway 3). Two SWFC staff in orange high-vis vests will also be selling tokens in kiosk queues for added convenience. Here’s a reminder of the details Why we’re trialling it Faster transactions = shorter wait times More efficient service during peak periods A smoother experience for fans grabbing a pint before kick-off or at half time How it works Purchase beer tokens in advance for £5 each (card payments only) and redeem them for a single pint of any draught beer – including Guinness and Madri for this match. Simply hand over your token at the dedicated kiosk for a quick, hassle-free service. If successful, we will look to roll out this system across other areas of the stadium. Where to redeem Dedicated kiosk between Gangways 3 & 5 in the South Stand Tokens can also be redeemed at all other kiosks in the South Stand, but the dedicated kiosk is expected to be the quickest. Important information South Stand only (for now!) Card payments only Vouchers expire 31 December 2025 Valid for single pints of draught beer only Beer options subject to availability at the kiosk Any vouchers not redeemed at this match can be used at a future home game before 31 December 2025, even if the scheme is discontinued. Challenge 25 Policy: Please ensure you have valid ID when purchasing or redeeming tokens. Beat the queues. Grab your token. Enjoy your pint. WAWAW! Owlstalk Shop

westy365owl Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Could we look at trialling adding to the season ticket so that you can preload your money before even entering the ground or at anypoint and just have the kiosk scan your QR code for payment
Sambo89 Posted yesterday at 15:49 Posted yesterday at 15:49 The main cause of the queues is that the pints aren't already poured. Only need to have 10 pints ready poured per till, then every time one gets sold someone backfills the gaps. Quicker transactions, faster queues. Tokens speed up the queue a bit cos there's no change to be given but you have to queue twice to get your token then your drink. Wonder if it would be possible to use season ticket cards in future. Could load money onto it whenever you like through the club shop website and just use that contactlessly to pay. Saves the need for queuing to buy tokens then queue for your pint. 1 1

This 100% Ps a fiver for a pint of Guinness in a sporting venue is a great deal. Edited yesterday at 16:08 by Almat 2

Almat Posted yesterday at 16:11 Posted yesterday at 16:11 Are the beer tokens available in the shop during the week? If not, may be something to look at for extra sales? 1

oldtawnyowl Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Can't see any advantage really. Why is paying by token or pre-loading onto your season card etc any quicker than paying with your bank card? The real problem is the speed of service due (on the North at least) to the system of 2 or 3 people servi g and taking card payment but only 1 person actually pulling the beer. Sultan_Pepper Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It could be helpful as long as they prepour about 50,000 pints. Just get them poured early. They'll not go warm in this weather 1

Let's not forget we are currently in admin and some of the stockists are likely to be creditors that may lose out on what they are owed when the creditor percentage is agreed. At the moment we should just be thankful there is any beet at all, considering the cluster foook Chansiri left us in.
