Yes. That's why Hillsborough would have to be accepted AFTER the inevitable social flounce

It would be Free Deidre all over again lol

Sorry, you lost me on this one?

Just walking around that part of town shows you just how huge that complex is - it's quite staggering when you're there on the streets walking through it all

It's impressive no doubt.

Who says we don't need billionaire owners!

I doubt very much we’ll be getting a site like that. Man City got that ground in that area following the commonwealth games. At that time, the east of Manchester had land that could be developed. I’m guessing at that time land was cheap. Manchester is also the UKs second city (sorry Brum, Glasgow and L**ds) and able to that development.

For the record, you’ve taken TheSlicers words and quoted them as mine.

I’m happy for us to relocate elsewhere in the city if it means we progress

I agree. Only sites I can think of are the Don Valley/Meadowhall M1 'corridor' area or on fringes of the city - to the south probably (less hills).

Problem with hillsborough even if redeveloped is that it would still have the disaster as a big black cloud looming over it, if anything ever goes wrong at hillsborough the disaster is always instantly on the minds of everyone. If we want to develop and run more financially viable we need to move to a new state of the art stadium that’s cheaper run, preferably not on a flood plane and one that can host a wide range of events. We can’t keep living in the past. If this is our chance as a club to finally join the 21st century we must grab it with both hands and run with it otherwise we will fade into obscurity.

If Hillsborough could be rebuilt, stand by stand and be suitable for large scale events, great, but I doubt the plot is big enough for a stadium worthy of a top Premier Club.

That video is and has never been anything more than a proof of concept, and I don’t think it has any value in the conversation about whether to redevelop or move anymore.

They always are. Birmingham's proposed new stadium release is proof of concept. It might not completely look like that when completed.

The aim is to provoke a 'wow' factor, sell the idea and bring fans on board.

There are different opinions on what is right for the club though.

Right but ultimately you have to hope you get owners with a vision we can trust.
