As I've said before the present Stadium is from the 60s, it's like the 60s team playing in the stadium from 1899

I love Hillsborough, but let's be honest, it's falling apart because of 35+ years of neglect and lack of basic maintenance.  Every stand requires significant work to bring it to a basic standard.  The one that's least knackered, the south, if you're taller than 5ft 3 you end up with laceration to your knees from the seat Infront of you.

If we get an owner who wants to move us to a new stadium then great. As fans, we'd hopefully have some input into the process.  We've moved stadiums twice before, I'm sure we'd be fine moving again.

I think it’s time for us all to think less about our own personal preferences and more about what’s right for the club.

Id prefer we stay and rebuild, but is that the right thing to do, will it get us where we need to be to attract the next generation of fans?

Give me a new ground with unrestricted views, large concourse, and not having to spend all half time getting a pint, getting soaking wet when it rains!

You are limiting the club with this train of thought really. Spend £50/100m giving the old girl a glow up, and still hit revenues for 23 days a year.

I can only surmise the people that don't want to move are because of selfish reasons. Ie the journey in is 10 minutes on the bus, or they are sentimental fans. No fan wishing the club to progress would want us to stay and throw money at a ground that is literally in a flood zone.

I just cannot understand the argument to stay.

Think bigger.

Absolutely Spot on.

I’m in the redevelopment camp, but I fully understand the argument of a new ground and I wouldn’t be against it, but I would be against it if it meant moving the club to the opposite end of the city or out on the outskirts. It needs to be close to where it is now.

Sheffield Wednesday is hillsborough, it’s walking through park with a beres.

Understand, but there are new generations of fans to come who won’t understand this. And they will create their own new rituals.

New Beres outlet near the near stadium would be a certainty

There are different opinions on what is right for the club though.

Man City fans didn't want to move to the Etihad from Moss Side until the new stadium was built

Would be interesting to know the percentage of supporters that live on 'this side of the city' compared to elsewhere. Then think how those supporters would get to a new ground, not just from what some perceive as a selfish point of view, but logistically as well.

Not true. How did Luton ring it, or Bournemouth and Brentford when they went up. Are you saying if we drew Chelsea in the cup, they wouldn’t play there?

The issue that allows games to take place are Safety Certificates.

Yes. That's why Hillsborough would have to be accepted AFTER the inevitable social flounce

It would be Free Deidre all over again lol

That is just an empty slogan.

Okay well I’ll put more meat on my

point then.
Our stadium is crumbling, it is liable to flooding, parking could be better. What is wrong with moving to a new site with better facilities and transport links oh and seats without a restricted view.

Man City’s foot print…

but let’s be honest a lick of paint and a new hot dog stand and we will be fine…

F off any billionaire that wants to move us forward.

Just walking around that part of town shows you just how huge that complex is - it's quite staggering when you're there on the streets walking through it all

It can be redeveloped. Other clubs have like Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Villa Park.

Sites of proposed new stadium in Don Valley also flooded in 2007.

New stands would have better views, room and facilities.

Parking I agree will always be poor at Hillsborough unless new parking found.
