We might not agree long term but it has to be better than what we have suffered for the last 10 years or so. An opportunity to build a club from top to bottom is at least a start and progress There's acceptable and then there's the very best option. Just about anyone is better than our previous owner but this is our chance to get an owner who will drag this club up to the Premier and set it up for very a long and bright future. We just have to hope the very best possible owner is committed enough to make an outstanding offer. 2
Popular Post leftpeg Posted Friday at 23:46 Popular Post Posted Friday at 23:46 There will be plenty of complaints. If we get a Saudi PIF style owner, I will be one of the ones unhappy. If we get an American owner there will be people complaining we are just a product and franchise. If we got some one like an Ashley there would be people complaining he isnt ambitious enough I doubt there is any ownership model that will please everyone, and that is fine. We do not always need to agree, aslong as the disagreement is done respectfully it is perfectly fine to hold different opinions to each other on clearly subjective matters. 12

Inspector Lestrade Posted yesterday at 00:36 Posted yesterday at 00:36 I fear disappointment amongst the fan base if someone like DC gets the gig and constantly bickers with the fans. We need a very wealthy sensible winner who goes about the job with the fans in mind with every major decision they make. I would think in this day of age of self entitlement that finding an owner to suit all tastes would be nigh on impossible. within a week someone will be declaring that they won’t stepping inside Hillsborough again till the new owners have gone. Such is life
Maidstone Owl Posted yesterday at 00:50 Posted yesterday at 00:50 (edited) There won't be a "poker plonker" who asks Chat GPT to find signings from the Bulgarian 3rd Division, and to then sack a manager, appoint another manager, only to (re)sign the original manager after just 9 weeks. Remember kids, don't gamble and don't do glue. And don't trust Chat GPT if you want to win the Champions League with South Liverpool on FM26.#PokerPlonker Edited yesterday at 00:51 by Maidstone Owl 1 WE'RE ALL WEDNESDAY AREN'T WE
Sambo89 Posted yesterday at 01:16 Posted yesterday at 01:16 Have they got enough money to guarantee the future of the club? Can pay all bills on time? Can pay wages on time? Doesn't get into arrears with HMRC? Yea Have they got a plan to make sure the club grows? Yes Is there a long term plan (not based on wishes and dreams) to progress the club? Yes What's to complain about? 1

Cant be any worse than he who can't be named. Can they? If the names of all the bidders leak out I can't imagine that there won't be a thread or two on here advocating the merits of our own preferred bidders as opposed to the successful buyer. That said, if we get the perfect combination of an owner with deep pockets and vision they can all shut up 2
AwokenGiant Posted yesterday at 07:45 Posted yesterday at 07:45 I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Whatever happens, we’ll be in a better place and that’s all that really matters to the fans. All the anticipation and guessing about new owners is just a bit of fun, and most people are enjoying it. Instead, we could have been heading into the new year with Chansiri still in charge… the nightmare before Christmas. 1 2

I think it’s a coping mechanism for some people… I know people that constantly predict the negative outcome so aren’t disappointed if it happens, but most of the time it doesn’t.
HarryJ Posted yesterday at 10:10 Posted yesterday at 10:10 Surely we have to get behind whoever wins ownership until they prove otherwise. The changes required to make us competitive at the Premiership level will be a long process but there will be some quick wins along the way so hopefully they will have identified these in a sensible and well thought out plan to get us there. Some patience is required which is not easy for someone who has followed the club for over 60 years and may not see it back at the top level but, hopefully, the journey will be entertaining and exciting. 1
graz gp Posted yesterday at 10:16 Posted yesterday at 10:16 Whoever takes over must be given time. It won't be a quick fix to sort the club out. I just hope they have a long term plan and keep the fans updated. Uto
