paulrs Posted Thursday at 11:04 Posted Thursday at 11:04 Last time Pederson talked about the injured players it didn't sound like any of them would be back by now. Also seems a lot to throw a player even of Cooper's experience into the intensity of a derby game with literally no practice. I would expect Horvath Palmer Iorfa Lowe Fusire Valery Bannan Ingelsson Amass Lowe Cadamarteri Cooper on the bench possibly 1
S20owl Posted Thursday at 11:05 Posted Thursday at 11:05 Horvath fusire Palmer Iorfa Lowe Amass Valery Baz Svante Ugbo / Lowe Cadz No Cooper, not match fit. Be mad to play him and risk injury. People suggesting Charles is fit, if so then him as GK.
Tamworthowl Posted Thursday at 11:06 Posted Thursday at 11:06 We have a difficult away game in midweek. Cooper has (I read somewhere) been training at home. So, playing him on Sunday is asking for a muscle injury. Give him a place on the bench and hope the back three last long enough to allow Cooper 15 minutes at the end as we defend our lead. Then consider a start on Wednesday night. 1
TZOwl Posted Thursday at 11:24 Posted Thursday at 11:24 Cooper has known he will be signing for a very long time now, i would be surprised if he’s not already fit enough to play 60 mins. Question is, do you put him straight in to a derby?

Normanski Posted Thursday at 12:17 Posted Thursday at 12:17 Cooper isn’t match fit, he’ll be a second half sub at best. 1
Baytan Blue Posted Thursday at 12:29 Posted Thursday at 12:29 Ugbo will play and score it's written in the stars . Crap Keeper to save a penalty Iorfa Max Lowe Fusire Palmer Bannan Inglesson Amass Valery Cadamarteri Crap striker to score. 1

Thought about this myself and its a yes for me, we are so leaky at the back i cant see an argument for an experienced centre back not to walk straight into our defence. 1
Owlabroad2001 Posted Thursday at 12:55 Posted Thursday at 12:55 Cadamarteri will probably not start as he often doesn’t after the internationals. He’s also pants but so is Ugbo I guess. For me Cooper starts as well. Horvath Iorfa Cooper M. Lowe Palmer Valery Bannan Amass J. Lowe Ingelsson Ugbo Subs: Stretch, Otegbayo, Johnson, Fusire, Thornton, McNeill, Fernandes, Cadamarteri, Grainger

Question is, do you put him straight in to a derby? Yes, the thought of Iorfa at CB like a rabbit in the headlights at the beginning of the match means Cooper should start for me. We don't want to be all over the shop and conceding early again. Loovens hadn't played for 6 months when we signed him. He had only been at the club a few days and was thrown straight in against Leicester at home and we won.

You're happy to chuck Charles in goal and he isn't 'match fit'.

Seems he’s looking at the ground though

I'd maybe give Cooper 20 mins to build up fitness in the next couple of games and maybe involvement with the U21's. He hasn't played competitive football in over 6 months its a massive risk to throw him into a physical derby game. Plus is there a need to throw him in? The back 3 who are likely to start are season professionals and as far as I am aware aren't struggling with injuries so not like we are desperate for him to be involved straight away. For me our issues are at the other end of the pitch and lack of goals and creativity at the minute.
