Popular Post @owlstalk Posted Wednesday at 15:43 Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 15:43 The guy in the video is working with one of the bidders Says there's a number of interested groups, but you can't just look at the headline cost as the stadium needs so much doing and the squad needs rebuild Says it's a big challenge to get back out of league one and won't be simple Says the bidder he's working with has very deep pockets Says the attraction to SWFC is it's scale but is also it's downside as lots of eyes on it (HMRC, MP's etc) That's it 2 18 1 Owlstalk Shop

Popular Post lukeyswfc Posted Wednesday at 15:56 Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 15:56 A downside is HMRC are looking? That doesn’t sound dodgy at all. The downside to a big club is big expectations? Maybe his team should go for a smaller club then. That seems like a weird thing to say if you’re trying to buy us? Youd want someone to talk about the positives not trying to list negatives before he’s even bought us. Strange. 1 14

nbupperthongowl Posted Wednesday at 16:01 Posted Wednesday at 16:01 I think this confirms we have serious investors looking at us 5

Kris said they could be £1mil in profit by the time the sale goes through. That's what happens when the club is run properly. 1
Popular Post marshy Posted Wednesday at 16:21 Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 16:21 I think and it’s only my personal view that he’s meaning it’s more than just buying a club in administration. Serious money needs spending and it’s no easy task. The eyes of the football world are on what happens to us. Especially given it’s been discussed in Parliament etc. Such a lot to have to get right with zero guarantees. But, isn’t that football wherever you are? I agree, it’s an expensive project for someone, but get it right and you have a prized asset. That’s not having blue and white glasses on, it’s simply a fact. There aren’t too many clubs like us left now. It’s a fine balancing act. So come on, who’s got the rounduns 3 11

I want the new owners to know precisely what they're buying and what it'll take to get us going in the right direction. Beyond this, the positives will be obvious, and would be the ultimate reason they'd be buying us in the first place. 3

Or them? It seems everyone and his dog wants buy us. Unfortunately my pockets aren’t deep enough. I’m bored in the bus station. God it’s cold. I can see daylight for Wednesday but not in the bus station
Popular Post sheffield_dave Posted Wednesday at 16:29 Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 16:29 I would rather hear the realistic view. The time for patchwork fixes and "ticking along" with the clubs foundations is over. The next owner has to arrive with some sort of vision for the future of the club, and the tens of millions (rising quickly beyond that depending on ambition) required to invest the stadium and training facilities is unavoidable. It is no longer optional. Anything else will see the club treading water at best. Having 11 parties interested enough to show proof of funds and access the next stages is great. We only need one of them to a.) fully understand the challenges of the club, b.) realistically accept the challenges of the club and c.) have pockets deep enough and a plan to do something about it. 1 1 14
