The regulator won’t just look at if he has the funds it will surely look at the fact he isn’t paying . It’s not just about have you got the money . bit like having a mortgage and not paying but saying look at my bank I’ve got the money to pay I’m choosing not to … the mortgage company will just take it off you . The regulator will hopefully have some similar powers Exactly. The owners and directors test will be beefed up and there's no way Chansiri will pass it even if he can show he's got £500m in the bank. He's jeopardised the future of a 150+ year old community institution. If he’s playing games or genuinely financial difficulties it doesn't matter, he's getting iced by the regulator as soon as it's online. Edited Saturday at 15:18 by owls101 4

If his goal is to run the club into the ground then fine, that will bring this all to a head quicker if he does that.

If I were a steward or an employee of the club I would be at doctors explaining mental health issues surely at least a month of work if our stewards don't work the game can’t commence 1
SallyCinnamon Posted Saturday at 15:22 Posted Saturday at 15:22 Agreed he isn’t as skint as people make out. He’s just doing everything on his terms. 2
SheffWed Posted Saturday at 15:23 Author Posted Saturday at 15:23 The regulator isn’t going to come in and kick him out instantly, it’s naive to think that will happen. It will take time, he will fight it, delay it, red tape etc. People need to stop relying on the regulator. 2 2
Mamalute Posted Saturday at 15:24 Posted Saturday at 15:24 Just means staff and players will go unpaid for a little bit longer than pthey other wise would have. He is scraping the barrel, any one who thinks he has got loads of surplus cash are deluded. Having said that do not think he will put penny more than he has to into the club, think he knows he has to go it is just his ego has to come to terms with it.
McRightSide Posted Saturday at 15:33 Posted Saturday at 15:33 Of course he can Been saying for months he is simply refusing to put more cash in This is what SWFC looks like minus owner funding Funding the extra stewards was simply an opportunity cost for him

It won’t happen, there will be so much legal tape, it could take months even after the regulator tells him to go. We just don’t know, it won’t be as easy as people think. Why wouldn't the regulator fk him off? What's the point if not? Help me out-cant get my head around it.
SiJ Posted Saturday at 15:36 Posted Saturday at 15:36 Yeah, he's not going to get away with funding a litigation with the regulator whilst the thing they are fighting over is going out of business. 1
hasthagotanycheese Posted Saturday at 15:37 Posted Saturday at 15:37 How many have Coventry brought today? 5-6 thousand? That would have provided more than enough cash to pay these additional stewards? If he somehow does have the money and is just refusing to put enough funds in to properly fund the monthly payroll ( as the doomsayers on here would have you believe) then this is just another issue that the IFR will be able to take him to task over. FWIW, I think he is genuinely skint. If he had loads of money, why would he be scrambling around trying to sell unrefined African Gold and pushing dubious Blockchain schemes? These are hardly the actions of somebody who is awash with cash and more like a desperate gambler trying to fund one last role of the dice. 1

Regulator will tell him to go, he will say no, he will fight it, get a legal team, look for loopholes etc. We are the test subject. Nobody truly knows how it will work. We know DC and he won’t just go. He will fight all the way. He won’t go when he can get some money back from a sale. It could take a LONG time to get rid. 2

Don't you think the regulator has factored this in? I don't know the ins and outs(unless someone can put me right re legal challenges), But if he's not fit and proper fk off. 1
zorbatheowl Posted Saturday at 15:47 Posted Saturday at 15:47 Wonder whet the EFL think to his sudden lottery win. Probably say its not against the rules. It is morally wrong when he refuses to pay employee's earned wages and is then allowed to increase the clubs expenditure.

The regulator will be dishing out the licences soon. DC wont get one and he'll be issued with a removal order. He can appeal but on very narrow grounds and he wint be successful. That process will be expedited and then he'll be out, for good. 1 1 2

You keep saying red tape but you haven't said what that is? 1
