Popular Post SheffWed Posted Saturday at 13:22 Popular Post Posted Saturday at 13:22 This can’t carry on. I don’t think the protests are going to improve much. Fans on the pitch is good but you will only ever get a small minority doing it. The players downing tools will have the biggest and best impact. 5 1 26
TodwickOwl Posted Saturday at 13:23 Posted Saturday at 13:23 Said this leaving game Why are they playing? We don’t care if they don’t turn up 5
Popular Post TheSlicer Posted Saturday at 13:25 Popular Post Posted Saturday at 13:25 The minority that went on the pitch has had a bigger impact than the numbers would suggest imo. they’ve more than likely got the club (chancer) a hefty fine. they’ve brought more attention to the situation, many other clubs fans are applauding them on backing them on social media. 2 14
TheSlicer Posted Saturday at 13:25 Posted Saturday at 13:25 On the players. I hope they just refuse, but I think they’re being advised off the FA to not do it. I can’t think of any other reason why they would risk injuries whilst not getting paid 1
S6owls Posted Saturday at 13:26 Posted Saturday at 13:26 Your assuming the players have bigger balls than most of our fans? 1
TrickyTrev Posted Saturday at 13:26 Posted Saturday at 13:26 There’ll be plenty of talk about strikes but when push comes to shove they’ll all make themselves available for the next league match. No idea why, possibly because they know they’re secured creditors so will get their money at some point, shame the non playing staff don’t have that reassurance. 2
TFUS Posted Saturday at 13:29 Posted Saturday at 13:29 How can you expect the players to refuse to play? This isn’t a hobby or a club they support, it’s their employment. They have bills to pay and families to support. I appreciate they’re not getting paid properly but 99% of people in their shoes wouldn’t refuse to play. It is up to us as fans and the regulator 7

If they strike no games can be played. 1 1 1
swfcnathan Posted Saturday at 13:32 Posted Saturday at 13:32 Wednesday being in league one won't happen till 8-9 months from now so it makes no sense for the players to refuse to play. We can starve him of money and force a sale way before then. Imagine we were sold next week. Which would you rather have, a team with a small chance of staying up or a team who's players have refused to play 20 points from safety? He won't be able to continue if people boycott season tickets. 1
S1Owl Posted Saturday at 13:35 Posted Saturday at 13:35 DC ain't bothered though. Nowt change unless he's stopped being owner by higher powers
Maxowl1985 Posted Saturday at 13:39 Posted Saturday at 13:39 Let's get messaging the players so they know we have there backs 1 1
SheffWed Posted Saturday at 13:39 Author Posted Saturday at 13:39 People are not willing to take the risk with going in the pitch, credit to the ones that went on today. The protests aren’t going to ramp up, what else is left for the trust to do? There was more buying food and drink today, likely because it was could, it’s only gonna get colder. What truly more can the fans do? Going on the pitch and staying on it will have a huge impact but not enough people will be willing to do it, add to the the players tried to get the fans off and that will happen again. People think the regulator will just come in and say bye but i don’t think it will be as easy as that. DC will make legal challenges, it could just rumble on and on, it’s unknown territory . 2
room0035 Posted Saturday at 13:42 Posted Saturday at 13:42 (edited) Who was that tail on the commentary today sounded like the Brentford manager, talking about passion and commitment with a team who had not been paid playing for free, a team of kids playing their third game in 8 days, many of which have not made 10 senior appearances. Sky really do have some, complete idiot fools working for them. Edited Saturday at 13:42 by room0035 4 4
blueandwhitematt Posted Saturday at 13:43 Posted Saturday at 13:43 The only card we really have is to make the games such a farce that it makes a mockery of them and the EFL. I’d prefer them to be on strike at this point but it’s their choice, and there isn’t a chance the PFA will be advising that. Maybe they could just disrupt the game, keep going down injured, launch the ball out of play at any chance, time waste etc. Wishful thinking I suppose. 1 1
McRightSide Posted Saturday at 13:53 Posted Saturday at 13:53 The Issue with the players boycotting is that it brings the sanctions firmly onto the players and matchday shenanigans vs DC 1
