To be honest those looser shirts were a poo load more comfortable than the nasty, skin tight ones of the last decade. I am 5ft 10, 34-36" waist and can't fit into anything under an XXXXXXLL!  So I simply don't bother.

Plus, anyone above college age just looks pretty stupid in a football kit.

True story, I had that shirt with Hirst on the back. Leaving club shop I saw him and got it signed. Some spanner that was there asked him if he was playing for the reserves later and he just laughed it off. Obviously I didn't keep it and just ruined it playing Wembley all summer.

Yeah

I’ve got a 93 shirt and the arms a massive. I’m getting my mum to take them in a bit before I wear it in public

:duntmatter:

I was about 9 stone in 1993, i'm about 14 stone now and it's still way too big. Christ knows what I was thinking.

I used to think that about sports wear. In the last couple of years it’s completely shifted, It’s not just football shirts either, NFL and NBA gear is very popular now in this country

This one and the yellow and purple number are the only shirts from the 90s that randomly still fit me, the others are very "snug" to say the least.  Sods law that they're two of the few that are widely available as DHGate copies now.

This is a popular retro shirt on DHGate, have they successfully replicated the sleeve ludicrousness?

Thankfully not, I had the original black and gold shirt which had enormous sleeves but the replica I have from DH Gate has normal sleeves.
