We've got to keep the protests going, but I think we've already reached the point where fan income isn't even touching the sides. Crowds are down c. 6,000, apparently shirt sales were very poor, and kiosks are empty in the main. He couldn't pay the bills when we had 26,000 through the doors, shirts flying off the shelves, and 15/20 deep at the kiosks!
Pughies Jockstrap Posted October 3 Posted October 3 13 hours ago, 1867tim said: What if fans go the home games - not a pound in the ground, black and gold until sold - importantly, support the team like every game is the Peterborough game, but then stay as long as possible after the final whistle. This would create a new (albeit manageable) logistical headache, increase staff, stewarding and policing costs, be an audible protest during the post match interviews, it might be a chance to make a similar connection with the team as on away days, it also might get support from opposition fans, media attention and fans talking to each other. If you want to tell me this is a rubbish idea, that's fine, of course, but please be gentle. Like many, I worry about the current divisions and animosity between Wednesdayites. I am an ex sth, went to my first Wednesday game on 29th April 1976, went home and away when I lived on the sarf coast for 10 years. I won't bore you with more, but trust me, I could go on and on and on and on and on. I live 4,000 miles away with my lovely family, not much dosh and a diagnosis. If I was in the UK, nothing - nothing would stop me going to a game and I hate the idea that fellow fans would want to stop me going to a game. Don't get old, I've written that last bit and I can't remember why. It doesn't seem relevant, but hey ho, it's done. Have a great day. From one old timer to another - good idea. And to the poster who asked about prosecution its not a criminal offence to hang about after although staff can ask you to leave and take action if you refuse. Personally Id love to see all the players turn up, refuse to get changed and sit in the dressing room until 5pm. Now that would be worldwide newsworthy and send Sky into a mad panic. Chansiri would then be globally embarrassed.
jonnyowl Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Wonder what time the stewards finish? Stay beyond then, they can all claim overtime from DC then!

dehowl Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Nowhere near enough, I’m afraid. We started out with a few hundred and by 2.50, there were approximately 20 of us left. Stoke scoring early on didn’t help matters.
Maidstone Owl Posted October 3 Posted October 3 It's a good idea and I won't be taking part as I have better things to do on a Saturday, like sit inside my warm lounge with Sky Sports News on, and skimming Owlstalk whilst saving a load of money. DEFUND CHANSIRI
