Since 1971 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 The Boro game in April. My daughter (a student) bought us tickets on the kop for my Birthday. She knew nothing of the Chansiri campaign and protests. Obviously we really enjoyed it, spending the day together. And she fell in love with Pierce Charles. She now understands the Chansiri out stuff and keeps me up to date with Pierce Charles' news because she follows him on face tok or something. I've been going since 1971. Not been to every home game in a season since 1984 when I moved out of Sheffield. Mostly been doing away games in last three years, but won't be going to Hillsborough again until Chansiri has gone. I find it all very frustrating, demoralising and its got me down a bit. God knows how you lot who go regularly are coping. Its horrible. 2
tina tuna Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Play off final couple of years ago. Been seriously bored of modern football for about 10 years now Fantastic few days in London, and a win at Wembley. That will do, never set foot in a stadium since, and have barely watched a game on tv either. not my game anymore 1 1

B. Respect Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Not been regularly for about 8 years. Went to Leeds at home last season on a freebie – sat bored throughout... I hope to return one day with a fresh perspective but I fear my interest is on life support. I was intending to stop going on our return to The Premiership... 1
Brinsworthowl Posted October 2 Posted October 2 One of the last darren moore home games in regular season. Didn't go to Wembley then Chansiri smashed that summer up with Darren leaving. That was strike one, the final strike was listening to the interviews of that muppet Chansiri brought in as manager before Röhl. Just thought he was clueless and lost and then not been back since. Miss it loads as me n two kids used to go 9 or 10 games a season. Shirts for them both up until this season. He's got nowt from us.
Stoop Posted October 2 Posted October 2 It’s sad to read about those of you who have fell out of love with the club. I’d like to think you’ll all be back with a renewed optimism when DC f***s off and we start our climb back up the divisions 1
Deepcar_lights Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Start of this season. Feel like I’m missing a leg. I’ve stopped coming on OT as much. It makes me angry without any real outlet for it. 1 1

My main problem is I lived through the early 90s with all the great football and footballers. Modern footballs just not the same 1

I had relatives over who wanted to go to a game so I went to the Middlesbrough game. I wore a yellow fishermans coat and we all stood up and turned around on 10 mins in protest. I agreed to it partly as I wanted to say thanks to Danny for what he did for us and I expected it to be the last opportunity to watch us under him. I won't go to another game till he leaves and if we get forward thinking owners, I will attend as often as possible.

Maddogbob Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) Last season I was in the UK so probably 2020. Id been going to the odd game potg (maybe about 3 a season up to that point I was largely priced out from 2016 onwards). Stopped fully spending with the club nearly three years now. No ifollow or merch. From abroad. Edited October 2 by Maddogbob
Ecclesfieldz owl Posted October 2 Posted October 2 When he started ducking about with refunds on Covid season tickets…. 1 1
Prendo's boots Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Peterboro' in THAT game for me home matches wise... What a last game to attend! Have been to a few away matches since but none after the Swansea one last season as yet!
Leaping Lannys Perm Posted October 2 Posted October 2 When he asked the fans to pay the HMRC bill, so about 2 years ago. It was the last of many straws. I'd already stopped buying season ticket after the COVID refund debacle, but still went to most matches. Then when he sacked and basically defamed Moore, I cut back and only been a couple of times so far that season. The HMRC thing was the end for me. But the minute he's gone, I'll be hoping for. Season ticket announcement.
