We’ve not heard anything from the EFL lately so it’s just lovely if this is the news that comes at us. It’s it’s true, it’s a shame because I always felt this gave the EFL a bit of leverage in the conversation against Chansiri the blind hope I’m clinging to is that they’ve leaked it to try and encourage a quicker resolution If it’s legit, then they are just washing their hands of this situation 2
asteener1867 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Better than The bloody Sword of D.amo C. lese hanging over us for another couple of months...Hello league 1 4

These rules are created on the basis that the owner cares what happens to their club. Which in 99% of cases they do. But occasionally you get an incompetent spineless weasel like Chansiri who clearly doesn’t give a monkeys and then punishments like points deductions become unfit for purpose. This is where forceably removing the owner is the owner legitimate punishment 11
Hyde2005 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 The supporters Trust have gone by the book everything legal , as they were/are in dialog with the efl . Now sod that get on pitch 1

Points deductions are stupid. Ultimately, what do points deductions achieve? Chansiri isn't interested in the footballing side of things and a points deduction only serves to punish fans, players (who are playing their hearts out to keep us invested and interested) and everyone else, but the owner. I never understand them. Edited October 2 by Fablon Dunlop 2 5
Rumble Fish Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Need it now, not next season. Next season will be tough enough anyway, a 15 point deduction will see us in league 2 by Christmas 1
Kopparberg Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Currently it’s ‘The Sun understands’ and how we ‘could’ be hit with a 15 points deduction and mentions other examples. That’s not to say we’re going to get our hopes up of getting off lightly.

But its the punishment they have and wrote into their rules which is what all the clubs agreed to. Basically someone cant play in a competition without paying their players/team/staff for working and achieving what they do in that competition. It's unfair. Therefore there has to be a punishment. The punishment is dock points so you're guaranteed to 'lose' in that competition, and finish below the other teams who are actually paying their players and staff to play against you every week. I dont understand why people have an issue? We're not playing by the rules. We can't be allowed to 'get away with it' 2 4 7

Pretty much writes our season off after less than 10 games. I know there’s rules to follow but still, could get messy Getting games abandoned is the Neuclar option. All that will achieve is give the EFL the excuse they need to expel the club from it's leagues. Yes Chansiri loses the money he has put into the club but he is no longer putting money in every month to keep it afloat and he still has the ground he could redevelop since there is no football club left to use it anymore. Everyone, players and staff are immediately out of their jobs and the supporters have no club to support anymore, it's history will just that history. A phoenix club might be formed next season in the Northern Counties (East) league playing at Tinsley or somewhere but many diehards won't want that. 1
