We have some of the best fanbase in the world. Few other clubs have had their fandom stick with them on the sinking ship since the early 00s through to the utter desolation we face now.

Makes me laugh seeing Man U fans think they've gone through the wringer since Fergie left with the Glazers and then Ten Hag. They've only won the FA cup a couple of times, League cup... Europa league... I'd settle for that I think. I'd settle for Wednesday to exist without the Tuna tbh, which we will sooner or later.

But some of our fans want us to boycott away games. Do they think we’d get a performance / result like last night without support? Or at Portsmouth?

How are fans and fanbase different? Hearing fanbase a lot

Not everyone will agree with this, but my interpretation of the two is as follows:

Fans - those that attend games regularly, whether that's home, away or both. I include in this definition, those fans who normally regularly attend games who are currently boycotting because of our nobhead owner, but who have committed to returning once the charlatan has gone.

Fanbase - everyone else that count themselves as Wednesday supporters. They may only attend a handful of games per season, usually the 'bigger' or more attractive games  i.e. cup games against Premier league teams, derby games, Wembley appearances, etc. The 'fanbase' shows the potential of the club when doing well or when the team are more successful.

Ok

lol

How many times do teams turn up at Hillsborough with a taxi full of supporters - but still beat us?

How many times do we take thousands to away games - but still lose?

How do Bournemouth etc get to and do well in the Premier League, despite relatively poor away support?

There is no difference.

Some fans are scattered around the globe, not easy for them to get to games. They’re still fans. If it’s easy to get to games, it doesn’t mean that you’re a ‘bigger fan’.

Every single Wednesday fan is part of our fanbase, therefore they’re all fans. It’s just semantics.

And some fans celebrate away fans doing the thing that they love, whereas others are criticised for buying cup tickets, or a bag of M&M's

Weird times

There’ll always be some excuse of why we can’t all pull in the same direction. It’s usually selfishness.

People buy cup tickets to get the points that allow them easier access to get tickets for away games so they can turn up to chant against Chansiri and believe that they’re helping to defund him.

I mean, how does that work?
