Fablon Dunlop Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Ridiculous. I thought it was going to be 4-5 at most. 1
Maidstone Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Don't know. Nobody knows. Sometimes it's best just not to know. DEFUND CHANSIRI
Castleford Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 And he played more than 11. I thought it would be 5 when the board went up.
Night King Posted September 30 Posted September 30 A few injuries, subs and we were wasting time like every team does that’s winning. 2
horny owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 One of the officials had a bet on Its the only logical explanation 4 1
Deluded Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 And he tried to play enough time for them to get a winner. Same ref that we had at Leicester and he was pretty sh!t that day as well TBH? 9
Popular Post 4evaowl Posted September 30 Popular Post Posted September 30 The ref got it right. Lots of time spent on treatment of players on both sides, plus subs, and our clear time wasting. 7 4
McRightSide Posted September 30 Posted September 30 2 injuries to Birmingham players & 7 subs Throw in a bit of time wasting and that’s your 8 mins quite comfortably 5
northeastowl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Our fans make me laugh. We wasted time all second half (don't blame us). They had a few injuries too. Then in stoppage time Palmer was down a while and a couple of subs made. Let's be proud of the players rather than moaning at the officials, were better than that. 6
lukeyswfc Posted September 30 Posted September 30 And it’s only a minimum. Helped us against posh. It was bad defending more than anything there, we panicked. A shame. Those extra points could have been be vital. 2
sexpistol Posted September 30 Posted September 30 2 minutes ago, Night King said: A few injuries, subs and we were wasting time like every team does that’s winning. There were lots of stoppages and as had been said time wasting by us ( understandable) When the Brummie keeper came up and Horvath caught the ball, he stayed down for a ridiculous length of time and I think the ref added on time for that. Then Palmer goes down injured injury time, then we make a sub. It’s not the big conspiracy some are making it out to be. 5
Mosborough-owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 No way should they have been 8 minutes. 5 min max. 2 1
blueandwhitematt Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Think there’s a real issue with timekeeping this season. Previously you could have a reasonable guess, but I was expecting 5 (maybe 6 at a push) tonight and just can’t see where 8 comes from. And then you think about another example in the Liverpool Everton game the other week where they put up a measly 3 minutes, normally reserved for games where nothing happens. It’s almost like refs have been told to not just add on 4/5 standard added time and are over compensating, it’s happened too often across games I’ve watched this season. It feels a bit off. Something needs to change. Maybe timekeeping is taken away from the referee on the pitch, and another official does it. They can transparently account for the added time as the game is progressing, so it doesn’t just come as a shock at 90 mins when a random number is put up, and takes away the perception that referees are manipulating opportunities. 1
