S72 Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 They’ll be waiting to see if we have a chance of staying up this season. If we keep fighting we’ll get points deducted season. If we look certain for relegation they’ll wait and deduct next season. 2 4
Big Jack Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Probably so many points that they have lost count. 4
Popular Post Mamalute Posted September 30 Popular Post Posted September 30 Points deductions are levied when a club has gained advantage from financial issues. How on earth any imbecile thinks we have gained an advantage from DC not paying wages debts is unbelievable. We can not sign any players, those we have are currently playing without playing. Therefore we will punish fans and players with points deduction. The aim of any punishment should be at the idiot who owns club. 1 11
Dunkstar Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Probably cos we keep adding new offences each week. We're flooding the EFL and they can't keep up. Maybe that's the way, see if we can get it up to over 100 breaches like City and Chelsea. 1 3
lukeyswfc Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Genuinely think they’re holding out to see what happens. Think they have until March anyway before you can’t issue them for this season. If he sells, we might get let off easy. If he’s still here come Jan it’ll probs be at least -12 3
northeastowl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 We won't get the points deduction till next season. It's pretty much nailed on we will down this season anyway, so will punish us next year. That's why I keep predicting we will be in league two before things get better. 1 1 3
Prutton Away Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I sort of agree, but the EFL clearly knows what's going on with us and have likely said to whoever shows interest in buying us - ' look we want rid of him as much as the fans, so wrt the 'docked' points we will work with you'. What ever Si is saying about consortiums etc may or may not be true, but if you read everything he says, the meetings potential buyers are having with the EFL must be happening. Honestly would you buy us with our engagement with them to see what could be done about the umbongos?

I wouldn't buy Sheffield Wednesday as a going concern with the **** that DC has inflicted on it withoutvat least talking to the EFL and asking for some sort of way forward. Be that no points docked, Umbongos removed, transfers allowed.
mrgund Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Have we technically done anything wrong other than delayed wages? Is that a crime?
