No, wait until the Cov Sky game....take the field. Whistle blows, walk to the stands. Each player collects a black and gold scarf and they walk round applauding all 4 sides of the ground and then Sky fill the 2 hour void by conducting interviews with players and supporters pitch side. Maximum impact. Maximum coverage. Maximum embarrassment for Chansiri. 9 2 12
Blatter Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I was wondering how the players might organise a form of strike action that would be eye catching for the media but still allow the game still to be played and thereby avoid even harsher sanctions by the authorities. One idea that might work would be to delay the start of a televised game by having a dressing room sit in. A 5 or 10 minute delay would leave no alternative but for Sky commentators to fill in by discussing what is going on at the club to a wider audience, live as it happens. If players do read this forum I throw the idea in for discussion. Might be more effective than the talk of a training strike. 1 2

TheEnchanter Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I support the strike. I am with the players all the way. Most fans will be I'm sure. 2
Joe Jockstrap Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Do it, we need action what is more powerful than the players refusing to play? Sanctions will hit us, so what, get the disgrace of a man out of this club by any menas possible.
0114 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Got to take some firm action at some point, not looking like a sale is anywhere close and from what’s in the media it sounds like he’s clinging on until it’s taken from his grasp. It’s been 6 months on payment issues at this point, can’t just expect everyone to plod along whilst he waits for a magical money tree to appear.
S72 Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 This would be a huge statement. I hope it happens. Much more powerful than fans boycotting. 4
MarkSWFC49 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Whilst I think they should strike, I don't think they would do so. Could the trust organise for the players to be handed black and gold tshirts to warm up in or something along these lines?
KGP71 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 It's a refusal to train, says nothing about not playing games. 1

109Waddle Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Refusing to train doesn’t really impact anything unfortunately. Refusing to play would be huge, can’t see them doing that though. 2 3

When they do appear have the black and gold scarfs round their neck and receive a hero's welcome. Presume a fine will ensue for late entry to the field of play.
US_Owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 For the good of the club, the fans, the playing and non-playing staff - do it lads. 2
