Popular Post striker Posted September 30 Popular Post Posted September 30 For any players reading this, do it. I and many other fans will be 100% behind you withdrawing your labour. This situation is not acceptable, don't accept it, you deserve better than this. 4 2 46
Popular Post OwususFirstTouch Posted September 30 Popular Post Posted September 30 They should refuse to play, starting tonight. 1 29
Steaknife Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Agree 100% with their right to withdraw their labour from an unscrupulous employer 6
ChapSmurf Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I'd absolutely back them to do this. As would the players of any team we are facing I'd imagine. Players may well be handomely paid, but they still have commitments based on what they should be receiving as a wage each month. It also sends out another, probably more important sign, that the players will not tolerate staff not being paid. Maybe the players have a comfort zone financially for a period of time, but it's more likely the staff don't. I believe it would also put the EFL in a position where something had to be done to resolve the entire situation once and for all, as this will impact not only the two teams scheduled to play, should any strike action happen, but it could possibly have a knock-on effect on other teams if fixtures need to rearranged. 7
matthefish2002 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 How would we tell? Joking apart if you are not getting paid the you have every right to withdrawn you Labour. Would be a very big football story, cant remember it happening anywhere in England before. 4
TZOwl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) I would rather them strike than fulfilling the fixture and playing half arsed (Not that they have played half arsed before). Really not meaning to come across as insensitive, i want them to strike to send out a message. Edited September 30 by TZOwl 2 1
horny owl Posted September 30 Posted September 30 They’re only potentially going to strike from training 1
Deanamo Wednesday Posted September 30 Posted September 30 This needs careful planning with The PFA and The EFL as it will bring repercussions on the club with likely points deduction which we have so far not had. That said I fully support the players and staff in withdrawing their labour when not being paid. It will hopefully expedite a solution 2 1
