Popular Post 0742 Posted September 29 Popular Post Posted September 29 As much a set of clowns as Chansiri himself All fans buying tickets, remember this: you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you tolerate And this shows exactly that our fans will tolerate this horrific behaviour of an owner letting fellow Sheffield folk struggle by not paying their wages. 1 2 23
Popular Post crookesowl Posted September 29 Popular Post Posted September 29 I disagree about boycotting away games: Showing up in numbers, shouting loudly against the owner, spreading the word. It shows any pending new owners what we are about as they don’t get that at Hillsborough. Maybe DC gets some income but it’s minimal compared to home games and the bigger picture needs to be considered. PS I don’t go to away games. 6 2 48

Theres another thread currently sat next to this all about hate on hate to other fans. Think you've shown how much its still happening. To suggest the away fans are as bad as Chansiri - just mental. By the way, life doesnt work along the lines of getting what you deserve or tolerate, unless you think the Hollocaust or Twin Towers etc got what they tolerated. Must also mean Bury fans were culpable for what happened to their club. 4 2 2 13

Id love to see a vote on this one. Thought we were boycotting home games potg and cup…. Not away? 7

The pre VAT 5% the club makes from away tickets is FAR outweighed by the cost of selling them (staff, website/CRM software maintenence, ticket office utility bills). Pathetic post. 5 2 2 13

Pathetic post. After Vat he gets to keep £4206 maximum before costs from that entire allocation IF all tickets were sold at full price with no concessions which they weren’t. Approximately the same as 100 home pay on the gaters in the South 3 3 1

Approximately the same as 100 home pay on the gaters in the South Or about 800 pints. Or 8 season ticket holders. So, having pints at Hillsborough is fine. As long as we don't go over the 800 mark then it's just the same income as Birmingham away. Drink up boys. 3 5

It's not profit though is it. Let's take the £4,200 as gospel (which the poster clearly stated it isn't). Double it (Pompy and Brum sales) £8,400 ain't covering the payroll of the ticket office staff alone(and I do realise that neither is the pr!ck in charge) , let alone additional costs. I'd be amazed if over the corse of a season if selling away tickets doesn't cost us money. 1 1

The Trust have made it clear: 'every penny withheld strengthens the pressure for change' - for me, that means a total boycott of any spending. We can't have a two-tier boycott. 2 1 9
Sefton owl Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Financially it makes no odds (assuming DC doesn’t get a cut - or does he?) Going to away games serves two purposes: Gives the players additional motivation Allows the word to be spread to other clubs (black/gold etc.) my mate at work is a boro fan and he’s taking a black and gold scarf when they come to Hillsborough in a few weeks 1 1 6
