Just read an article about the match on BBC. Absolutely tears Rangers apart, but says they've discovered a player in Gassama. The only player with a positive mention. We all knew how good he could become.

Why do the commentators keep calling him ‘Gassam’ ? 
 

They were doing it in the CL qualifier game the other day too

Gassama looks like how he was for us season after last; struggling to keep the ball under control and lack composure on the ball. Looks half the player he was last season.

I don’t know why any player (apart from if you’re Scottish) would see a move to the SPL as appealing, even if it’s Celtic or rangers 

I’d rather play in league 1 even

Playing top level (in their country) football and in Europa/Champions League. 

The League One statement is a bit OTT.

Gassama also probably didn't have much choice. Stay here, not getting paid and in a relegation battle or move to Rangers and play in the above.

I don't think he was begging for a move to Rangers. 

The league one statements are just the usual generic crap associated to Scottish football.

Rangers badly need a win to kick start their season or it could be an insurmountable points lead already.

I watched the game and the commentator said Gassama had told them that the last letter A is silent and he should be called Gassam

Tbf he apparently turned up to negotiations in a Boston Celtics top and said he'd never heard of the Old Firm
