More like Oh-no-na, amirite? That squad cost millions and they got humiliated by a League 2 team. 
 

Embarrassing. But funny.

Let’s dissect some of the issues from that Man Utd performance last night;

* Manager is hiding away in that penalty shootout and is rocking back and forth like some nutter.

* New £65m signing Cunha misses the penalty to send Utd through after a terrible stuttering run up.

* New £70m centre forward, Sesko takes the 10th penalty. Wow - looks like he’s shat his pants and that doesn’t look good, does it?

* New £60m signing; Mbeumo misses the penalty to send the Mariners through.

* Amorim goes on another bizarre post match interview talking in riddles.

It’s not going to end well there.

At the end they had Fernandes, Zirkzee, Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko on the pitch and they still couldn't do the job.

£80 million for Sesko and he wouldn't take one of the 5 penalties. He was terrible all game.

Amorim has never looked ĺike he wanted to be there from the day he walked through the door. Nothings ever his fault, he throws the players under the bus constantly,  'his' recruitment of players is unstructured and wasteful.

They need a goalkeeper as soon as possible.  Onana is awful, so many faults you don't know where to start.

All in all they need another new manager and a fire sale, but even that won't change the negativity around the whole club.

I think it's one of those things in that some see it as not a good luck, but in reality means absolutely nothing. 

I think it has been alluded to earlier,

but all Man U had to do was stroke the ball on the floor as the Grimsby keeper was diving early every penalty.

I don't think all this is on the manager, there seems to be real troubles behind the scenes.

So much was made of Amorim’s system like it was some revolutionary idea that was taking the football world by storm, when in reality he’d won a few pots in Portugal managing one of the 3 teams that ever wins owt there.
 

He did a crap job with the players he had last season and he’s doing a crap job with the players he’s got this season. Man U are an absolute mess. 

It's a good job that Grimsby won the shootout really.  Imagine how embarrassing it'd have been for our youngsters in the next round if they lost against Manchester United,

It's not all on the manager, but he hasn't shown any enthusiasm or positivitÿ since he walked through the door.

That affects the squad, who to a man, look bloody miserable.

The problem is there wouldn't be many takers for their vastly overpaid donkeys

They should have binned off (or not even re-signed in the first place) Ronaldo. And kept faith with Solskjaer a few years back.

I do feel sorry for Amorim, he knew he'd made a huge mistake taking the job within the first week there. 

He should have stayed at Sporting and waited for an Italian club (AC Milan prime example) , no one is sorting that lot out anytime soon. Weirdly they had the right guy in Solskhear in my opinion.

I thought that when he took the job 

After a week he realised what a cesspool it was , no chance of building anything the club is rotten. He's spent his time since trying to get sacked in my opinion, he's waiting for his payoff. 

What evidence is there that Ole was the right man? He has done nothing of note in his management career and is now managing in Turkey. At least Jose got them 2nd and won a trophy.

Update. He’s been sacked tonight.
