Señor Sam Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Tickets on sale today ! Vancouver June 17 pitchside lounge $5350 per person. 3
Beighton Owl 87 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Probably to watch Canada v Uzbekistan. If the club world cup is anything to go by they'll struggle to sell out unless the price the games properly.

edmontonowl Posted July 14 Posted July 14 $5 grand............................f-that for a game of soldiers 1
TheEnchanter Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Its going to be a very corporate, expensive, plastic experience. Im glad I got to go to the Euros in Germany last year. Proper tournament, proper atmospheres, football heritage and fan participation was something else. Was fairly reasonable in terms of cost as well. I mean seeing England for about £70 in a group game wasn't bad. The USA costs will blow that out of thr water. 1
Señor Sam Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Anyone thinking of coming to Vancouver for the games then beware, you will be gouged !
Geedee Posted July 15 Posted July 15 The cost of top sporting events now is disgusting there really needs some legislation to stop this. 1 1
DCFCOwls Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Just don't attend and keep the stadiums empty The problem is the media will participate in the illusion there's not an empty seat in the house and it's the greatest tournament ever (Said since 2014 and beyond) I don't even care if we fail to qualify for this one, in fact I'd love it if we didn't
DVDA Posted July 15 Posted July 15 There's enough extremely well-off people in Vancouver (and Toronto where prices are just as stupid, for this first round of sales), and the games that limiting within Canada, that they will sell out - and the dynamic pricing will gouge away (sly Pixies reference). Shame, really. I had wanted to go - to any game in Toronto, but my pockets definitely have bottoms to them. 2

I couldn't enjoy euro 2008 without England being involved. 1
owlinexile Posted July 15 Posted July 15 (edited) It'll just be a bunch of suits on corporate jollies in the stadiums and then Trump will abduct the trophy at the end. It'll be even worse than Qatar. Edited July 15 by owlinexile 2

1867owl Posted July 16 Posted July 16 It'll be absolutely fine, as the WC in Qatar was. How much do you ever really notice WC atmospheres on the telly anyway? It's mothing like club football.

I must be tough for those who only have football as the only thing in their lives. That last day at Lords on Monday was everything sport should be about. Luckily I had a day off already booked so managed to watch it all unfold. 1 2
