Name the Wednesday players.

From the last 15 years or so with a nod to the 90s heroes.

Stoke-on-Trent, for example.

Or backwards on firm ground, Confused eels, Toilet and cookers?, small pool on the ground.

Biscuits, Biscuits, More Biscuits, Something for the stars.

Depressed?, Commonly found in a tug boat.

I'm not understanding the thread title when looking at the first two sentences  mate. Is it one player for each line of clues making four players in total. If that's the case might the first one be Darren Potter but I'm not seeing a 90s nod there so maybe not.

Probably it's me that's not seeing this .

Sorry for being vague.

Its 11 players, a keeper and 4-4-2.

So far @torryowl. Four.

Hint: only 2 from the 90s and you’ve got one.

Biscuits…I’m letting you have one of the three.
