British Home Championship

I'd like to see the return of this, it was a great end to the season and the chance for managers to look at new players

 you have to be careful with your friendlies these days, as they can affect your ranking points etc 

Can't see it happening again. When there isn't a world cup or euros there is going to be a club world cup going forward. Would like to see us play Scotland every year though in a friendly.

I used to go to the home internationals

They were the very definition of a waste of time

Being at Wembley in a crowd of 17,000 watching us labour to an unconvincing win against Northern Ireland really wasn't special

Not for me. There are already too many fixtures and it just doesn’t have the same appeal or attraction for any of the sides that it used to. Like Scram says they’re a good memory from times gone by.
 

They will always be better games too when the Home Nations play and it means something, hopefully crossing paths again in qualifying or a tournament game. They are the proper fixtures and far more exciting.
 

And finally I don’t want Scotland having anything to do with Britain either, so I’d be a hypocrite wanting them anyway

It may have been good in the old days but seems a miss-match now.  A big football country like England constantly beating minnows, particularly in Wales, and Northern Ireland.  Not sure what anyone gets out of it - besides England lauding their superiority over their neighbours.  

Even when Wales had a once in a blue moon superstar like Bale, they still lost games to England and were expected to.   

It would be far more interesting and competitive having a home nations tournament without England!  So defeats the point really.  

It would become tedious with England winning it every year. 

Nothing to gain on the pitch and all to lose off it with the obvious potential for trouble.

I'd like us to make the fixture against Scotland an annual event though with it being the first ever international fixture. Hopefully we alternate home and away every year.

Kings Cross is posh now with Dishoom and Macchiatos so a load of left behind Jocks with cans of Tennents is not good for the flat, sorry, apartment, prices. 

With England hosting Wales this evening is there anybody else apart from me miss the Home Championship?

I totally acknowledge the point about fixture congestion but would love to see this return in a new format played over 2 seasons using the current friendly slots available.

Still a no for me. It would take away from the magic when we do play competitive fixtures. As a side point I’m one of the few who has grown to quite like the Nations League.

It's the only competition your good at

Bring it back it was special when I was a kid England V Scotland other than the cup Final was the only live match, which made it an event, now it would be another one amongst loads of others
