Wigan FC ,gone into administration

Dave Whelan says he's shocked by it.

He stumped up £60 million for the stadium so both rugby and football teams in his hometown had a secure base.

Sounds like Wigan were taken over only a month back.

Has the EFL ,dropped another whoopsie with the new Chinese owners not being fit  n proper

Any insolvency event such as administration carries an automatic 12-point penalty, which would send Wigan bottom of the table from 14th, although the EFL has not yet confirmed the penalty will apply.

Somehow this lot got Wigan without any trouble and took the club into admin in a month, yet the Saudis need 3 months of scrutiny to get Newcastle.

Fit and Proper was and never will be about the club's best interests.
