Plus Bolton and Southend would have to be relegated for a start.

Boltons points deduction would now be for next season

If you are going to relegate two clubs, who are you going to promote?

how many teams could get promoted from League 2, and which 2 do you choose?

Or perhaps league 1 starts with 21 clubs next season, and league 2 with 26,

Saw some photo's on social media yesterday that some lower league clubs have already taken their pitched up in preparation for laying new ones, so i'm guessing they think its all over.

I done wonder whats going to happen to the youth game and grassroots game. Can't see how you get games on for kids and young adults either. 

They'll get plenty of notice of matches starting up again so it doesn't matter if it's over or just delayed.

Netherlands have banned all professional sport until at least 1st September.  Do you think we'll be finishing this season at the end of October?  If so then what are we doing with next?

It seems logical to me the sooner they call this season one way or the other they can start putting plans in place for next.

Cant see how this would be allowed and if they do then the FA have just stuck another 2 fingers up at the grassroots game and its importance.

Interesting from Gary Neville: common sense re learning a new skill, but perhaps of most interest is the statement that clubs want a reset. Remember he is involved (kind of) with Salford so might know what the situation is with lower league clubs.

Looks like June will be the cut off point,a lot of contracts will expire in that month and the transfer window for this season closed in January,so squads cant be altered.

Teams that are weakened by departures can argue they cant field a strong enough squad to be as competative as they would have been at the time of the original fixture.

The only precidents are outbreaks of war,the competitions were cancelled and war leagues set up on a regional basis.

From what Ive been privvy to from people who work in football,regional football has already been discussed and clubs sounded out about the possibilty of such a competition

Grassroots isn't viewed as important by the professional game. Grassroots likes to thinks it is, but it's not. 

It's the ultimate hyperbole. 

The end of June isn’t just important for player contracts. I read that Liverpool have the same date for new kits, new kit sponsors etc etc. They are saying these will be very difficult to change without agreement. There’s just so many problems with going beyond the end of June. That’s eight weeks away. To do a pre season, play around ten league games, quarter semi and cup finals, plus all the outstanding European fixtures.Not checked but that could be fifteen or sixteen games for some clubs in five or six weeks?
