This was Gerry Young's testimonial game, just a few days after Man City had relegated us.

If you look closely, I'm stood just in front of the scoreboard.

Go on then, someone's got to ask. Who are the Wednesday players in that picture?

What was the score?

3-3 .....whitham 2 warboys  for us .....

L to R Wilf Smith, Wilcockson, Craig, Young with I'll hazard a guess Jack Witham in the distance.

think yer right with smith .....

Wilf Smith isn't in that picture, both he and Wilcockson played at right back, and Wilcockson is definitely in the picture. Also it looks nowt like Smith. Megson had left by 1970, so I'm wondering if it's Kenny Burton. Tommy Craig and Gerry Young are derfinitely in the picture, and I think in the distance it could be Johnny Sissons. Whitham had probably already left for Liverpool when this photo was taken. I'm in sillhouete by the way right at the top of the aisle running down the middle of the Kop.

whitham scored 2 goals so he was playing .....sissons hadnt signed(1-8-70) when this match was played(25-4-70).i'm not sure its smith either but he played the last 12 games of that season at left back so he could be playing in the same team as wilcockson
