  1. Wednesday chose me. It felt right at the time and then Chansiri came along
  2. Ipswich website says that you need to have registered and brought tickets prior to 2016/17
  3. Failure to Launch ... but might yet end up as Arrival instead at the end of the season
  4. Fantastic. So proud to be a wednesday fan right now
  5. “@swfc: Stuart Gray: "We've got Sam Hutchinson back in training which is a positive." #swfcLIVE” His loan was due up on 9 April or have I missed something ?
  6. Ross Barkley and Connor Wickham as mentioned but prior to that Joey O'Brien when he came here in his 1st spell aged 18. If it wasn't for all the injuries,....
  7. Right, I put £20 with 888 at 40/1 last week expecting the odds to soften and as a possible sweetener against the bitter pill of relegation. I have since laid off at an average of 15/1 so I won't make a loss. So, do I take £40 guaranteed profit or hold out for £500 if we're relegated ....
  8. Gardner for me - imo our best centre back since Walker
  9. It depends whether we're happy to be bumbling along in the lower end of the Championship/upper end of League 1 or whether we have Premiership ambitions. It can be done with good management and a bit of luck without investing megabucks (Blackpool being the prime example) but realistically we're going to need significant funds to compete with clubs with parachute money and/or mega-rich owners. A millionaire owner is not enough these days.
  10. They were better than the current squad though with the exception of Gardner
  11. Almost seems like another era now. Really thought we'd kick on from there, but it's like 2005 all over again when we didn't build on the momentum
  12. Why do some men never learn. If it was raised a few weeks back, very likely wouldn't be a problem. It probably never crossed her mind that there was a game on a Friday evening when she made the plans. I gave my bf the list of games I was likely to go to with my dad at the start of the season - job done.
  13. Yeah but he ain't got the build of a Mellor and Parkin so that rules him out
  14. I don't think the Co-op had much choice in reality if they wanted to avoid administration. Relegation to League 1 means a £3million+ loss of revenue from TV and Premiership solidarity. They could have trimmed the £3million loan down by £500K or so if we had gone for cheaper players but that would have impacted promotion prospects and promotion is a must if the Co-op want most of their money back. Bet any transfer revenue we get will go straight to the Co-op though.
  15. Jeffers for me as well cause (on the few occasions when he did play) he played like one most of the time
  16. Nolan was steady for us last season but players like him are ten a penny. Spurr will be the better player when he gets his confidence back this season.... and yes, I thought he played well against Palace.
  17. Assuming Mellor and Mawene sign, I think at the moment in time we've probably got the strongest competion for places in the team since relegation from the Premiership. Apart from Grant, I don't think anyone who can be sure of a place in the starting 11. However, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if a couple of players (take your pick from Grant, Spurr, Tudgay Johnson) go before the start of the season if we get a decent price.
  18. As well as Jones, I think that the other player that made a huge difference in our promotion push that season was Joey O'Brien. Considering he was only 18 at the time, he was superb during his 3 month loan with us. Imo he was a better prospect than either Whelan and Brunt and it is a shame he has since had such injury problems.
  19. Hope you told him not to have any barbecues this summer as well as it may reduce his transfer value
