It's horrible, even for us non-Sheffield Owls. I always put this club ahead of my hometown side as others do but with it quite feasible Northampton will be higher up than Wednesday eventually (we diced with it but never quite happened) it really would be odd. How many non-area Liverpool or Man Utd fans would stick with them in L1 or L2 or worse? Wednesday are my 'Prem' team. A Liverpool supporting mate said the other day for the first time you might have to consider switching clubs if you want one higher up still than Northampton, West Ham mentioned as the closest to the Wednesday fan mindset and outlook. I think I'd just go without a top side, Wednesday have been a long way from that for 25 years after all.

I think we have just constantly been in one financial mess or another, even losing money when things are going well by our standards. The purchase from Mandaric was about as good as anyone will ever get. Still with an old, slightly infamous stadium, losing money and no real player assets at the time. Things like location never really swayed me, it's not like it's Ross County and literally having to offer houses to players to live there.

Feels a bit like Moneyball with Chansiri saying 'This is the new direction of Sheffield Wednesday'. Looking to coach through our bargains , the real bottom of the bin ones with Pedersen/Bannan. He probably feels he's being responsible by reducing the club to what can be self-sustained at it's most raw level.
