I'm surprised that the work permit should be causing the delay, if it is. Surely he could come over for a few days holiday and settle-in with the system. He could start work officially when the work permit arrived. (before some clever bugger asks what happens if he doesn't get the permit, then in that case there would be no further embarrassment with sacking a short term Manager). - a win win set up!!

If I remember correctly we beat Chesterfield a few years ago with eleven from eleven. So that should take some beating!!
