  1. Last 20 years? We had started the slide to oblivion by then. 30 years would be more accurate
  2. The Big Gun on Wicker
  3. City win at Everton. Pigs cant mathmatically win the league now
  4. Stranraer. Been to Stair Park over 50 times and 30+ away grounds, as far away as Inverness, Dingwall, Elgin and Peterhead.
  5. Whittington Moor. Usually at least 10 get others train after away games
  6. What about Marlon Harewood, pre-season friendly away at Kilmarnock

  8. The rascals have got a Charity shield success on their honours list. Dont think thats right. Theyve never even played in it
  9. Up and Down?? Must have missed the Up's
  10. I don't read books as a rule, but, having lived through the three seasons in the book and attended the majority of matches it covers , i bought a copy for nostalgic reasons. Read it cover to cover in 2 days and found it well written and captures the feelings of the time. We were smaller in numbers then, the football was beyond terrible, but, we had the best of times and when people say the highs are so much higher when you have been this low, they are 100% correct
  11. The Hawthorns has been good over the years, as has Rotherham
  12. I remember when we won away at reading. First away win for nearly 2 years. Fans were actually in the off licence buying champagne. Grown men hugging each other, it was like we had won the FA cup or something
  13. Looking back, it's hard to understand why we were so elated by winning the shipp cup. We were so rubbish even the smallest success, including scoring and winning away were embraced
  14. First year Peterborough Lincoln and cambridge. We won it by going to cambridge and beating them 5-2. Second year, huddersfield replaced Lincoln
  15. Home to Manchester city 1970. They did their best to let us win and we still lost 2-1 and were relegated
  16. I took a portable to Oldham. Same night rangers were playing Marseille. There were more people round us looking at the screen than our match
  17. Agree with most of these Add in Leon Clarke lobbing the keeper in the last minute to beat Leicester 3-1 in what was virtually a relegation decider
  18. It was us that equalised, a few minutes after Rotherham went 2-1 up after that cheating twt Towner took a dive for the penalty Gary Bannister made it 2-2
  19. Was it? It was a long time ago. Perhaps the smallest man in the history of football scoring a hat-trick of headers scarred me more than i thought.
  20. David Speedies 3rd at Highfield Road when we lost 0-5 to Coventry. I had backed us to lose 4-0 at 22 to 1
  21. There used to be 9 bars on Wicker. All Wednesday, the Big Gun being a real stronghold. Only 1 of the 9 left now,
  22. Bolton Early 1974 Half time score 4-0 Bolton Finished 4-2
