according to lee strafford on owlsonline last week, he gave the sheffield star a lot more info for their interview , but the stars lawyers advised not to go to print with it.

the fact that there was more piggy fans "gutted" that lee strafford left sums up lee's tenure at swfc.

i actually went to that game with my uncle(barnsley fan) about 1982 i think . thought at the time there must have been a motorway accident or sommat that held them up... but no it was just their regular pitiful away support.

there is no "takeover" the club is and never has been "for sale".... well not at the currently low shareprice. if only the "old regime" could bring in a successful, charismatic local buisnessman to galvanise the fanbase,increase season ticket sales..thus the wage budget and hopefully fluke a promotion.... then watch the share price increase. then you would see a takeover.

best post i've read in a long while(taken from owlsonline): I'm not a Wednesdayite member, I have no interest in becoming a Wednesdayite member, I'm a Wednesday fan and season ticket holder, that's my fans group, it always was and always will be enough for me. Having said this, I don't understand exactly what these anti Wednesdayite posters are trying to achieve. They are currently the only credible fans group who have an open invitation for all fans to join for what is a nominal fee(£5), they have an organised, democraticaly elected group of representatives from within their own number and who represent the interests of their members, who are all genuine Wednesday fans let's not forget, we are all Wednesday aren't we? Who else do you expect the board to speak to when they want to talk to the fans? There was a ridiculous suggestion on here for a Q & A session with all the season ticket holders, 11'000 people all giving their own opinions and all expecting to have them taken on board. Are we back to something completely unrealistic like that again? Maybe you think Lee can pop round to yours for a cup of tea and you can tell him what all the rest of the Wednesday fans are really thinking. How about, you put a little less effort in trying to come up with the best written put downs you can muster and offer an alternative? Nobody cares whether you like Wednesdayite or not if all you have to offer is: "Are you so far up your own ar5e that you think you speak for the vast majority of Owls???" or "could say that it's more than can be said for those bunch of self-serving, out for their own interest c nts" It's easy to stand back and critisise a group of people who are doing something you don't like but if you don't agree with them and you want some credibility, stop moaning like women and do something about it FFS! How do you know they don't say what the majority of fans are thinking? Have you asked the majority of fans? Are you assuming that the people you speak to on these message boards can speak for the majority of fans and that is what you are using to support your claims? Who can say they speak for all the fans exactly, what would someone have to do to earn that status in your eyes? If Wednesdayite ceased to exist, who would be putting forward the case for the fans? Do a lot of people agree with you? If so how many, who are they and why haven't you organised yourselves? (And I'm asking for numbers, not just the dozen or so like minded people you know on here or the 2 or 3 that sit around you on match day). For all the critisism they get, why isn't there an alternative to Wednesdayite? If you feel that strongly, why haven't you and all the rest of this "majority" joined Wednesdayite and had their vote counted? It's democratic, that means you change it from the inside by canvasing the members of that organisation and putting your case, not by standing on the sidelines shouting insults, that just strengthen's their resolve and drives them closer together by making their members feel they have to defend themselves as a group so often, nice way to drive a deeper wedge by the way, let's keep that up! Where are you? Who are you? You're on your own at the moment, respresenting you and a few on here who may agree with you, but that's all you've got, and it counts for nothing against the size of membership Wednesdayite have got, they at least can show that they represent the views of a couple of thousand Wednesday fans (or however many members they have). All you can show us is some elementary name calling and yet another Wednesday fan moaning about something else. I just wish you'd either do something about it or change the record, either stand up and be counted or shut the roger up and let's move on! You see, you moaning or more people born out of wedlock are the last remnents of Dave Allen hanging around at Hillsborough, it's all about petty squabbles and pointing the finger, you are more interested in point scoring and getting your two peneth in than the long term future of my beloved Wednesday. with thanks to "ossettowl"- more eloquantly put than i could write!!
