  1. I assume the fan in question was caught eating a sandwich during the first half
  2. I remember we had one against Coventry City as well when Laws was in charge The replayed game, we scored an injury time equaliser from memory
  3. Hillsborough singing 'One Bryan Robson, there's only one Bryan Robson'
  4. Should never have been signed. We didn't even need him given the strikers we had at the club. His career started going downhill when Blackburn Rovers hired Paul Lambert as manager. Think he only scored 1 goal under him before moving onto Middlesbrough for a huge amount His debut away at Wigan Athletic, he looked like he hadn't touched a ball in years. Although it didn't help that the tactics Carlos started using was awful to watch.
  5. Aaah that famous evening We'd just lost 2-1 at home to Preston in a game where we should have scored 4 or 5. Jermaine Johnson hit the woodwork 3 times I think in that game They had lost 3-0 to Blackpool, injuries crippling their side according to Blackwell etc - then that rant came. Think it was in response to being asked if the team spirit is still there from memory? "That's a stupid question, come on, don't be stupid" I think he also added in the rant
  6. Man utd opted out the cup because they had something better to do. Oh for goodness sake, not this nonsense again That is I assume we are talking about the FA Cup?
  7. Totally agree Both clubs practically destroyed a young lads development by acting like a bunch of pre schoolers. Not saying he would end up a 25 goal a season Premier League striker but those wasted years that us and Leicester contributed to, quite frankly prevented any potential of that happening. Fair play to the young lad for rebuilding his career, something Danny Cowley should be praised for. The George Hirst that first played for Portsmouth looked like he never played football in his life. Thankfully for him, he turned his career round there and looked a far better player, winning over the Portsmouth fans big time. I know there's no such thing as loyalty in football but one day, I hope Hirsty goes back to Portsmouth since they saved his footballing career from being ruined by two childish clubs.
  8. Hopefully the transfer arrangement with Troyes for Ugbo was that all future monies we owe them are based on goals scored
  9. Resorting to writing something that could be perceived as casual racism Classy
  10. Alessandro Del Piero An absolute genius to watch. Very fortunate to have seen him towards the end of his career playing for Sydney FC. Certain had he not been injured, Clive Tyldsleys magical night in Barcelona would never have happened. There was a reason he was always number one on Sir Alex's list of players he'd unlikely get.
  11. Bessie was a Terry Yorath signing
  12. Regarding Bodo Is this the same Bodo that knocked out Lazio in that competition? That Lazio team who have a former player of ours that is apparently worth £400,000,000 since he left? Also beat the likes of Olympiakos, Porto, FC Twente and Braga as well? Or is the Bodo under question here a side that Andorra Reserves would beat?
  13. The European Cup being renamed The Champions League, followed by the withdrawal of the Cup Winners Cup. The top European Competition should be the winners of the respective divisions (plus the holders). There was nothing wrong with the European Cup, UEFA Cup and the Cup Winners Cup. I have no interest watching an alleged European Competition where a side finishing 5th in their respective league could end up winning a 'Champions League' tournament when they weren't even champions of their own division.
  14. What were people saying, worst foreign manager in the history of English football??? Takes some doing that then, being the worst foreign manager ever yet winning a European trophy. Where did it go wrong for Jus Luhakay, Remi Garde and Gianfranco Zola? Better managers than Ange apparently
  15. That horrifying clip of the supporter walking round the pitch completely covered in flames
