Potentially a new stadium,i really hope not
Bob replied to BrianOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If Hillsborough could be rebuilt, stand by stand and be suitable for large scale events, great, but I doubt the plot is big enough for a stadium worthy of a top Premier Club. -
It doesn't help when somebody with a very good reputation keeps saying the Waltons are still in for us and respected journalists insist they are not. I am not getting into a tizz because I am pretty sure we are going to end up with rich, ambitious new owners.
-
Very confused. I don't want to believe thebizzle is a fantasist but I took am coming to the conclusion it could be rounduns. I am convinced that there are some big players wanting us with the talk of either redevelopment or a new stadium. Very exciting times ahead in time for Christmas.

Make them an offer they can't refuse, or leave a momento to change their minds Lol
-
Not bothering to think about it. Let's see who our new owner is, their plans and how deep their pockets are. Very soon now.
-
I don't know why people are worrying that the best long turn owner with resources to turn us around could lose out to a higher bid. There is clearly an opportunity for such a person to increase their bid. If they are that serious they will increase their bid.

True. I suppose I was clumsily pointing out that some ITK posters post rubbish.

I would have to have at least 95% confidence of my source to post any info. Some of the recent posts can't have been even close.

Of course he is. if you can't differentiate between professionals with confidential information and social media trolls, there's no hope,.

Mike Ashley preparing a bid
Bob replied to ChrisWaddlesMullet's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Under normal circumstances, after what we've been through, I would be delighted with Ashley. I have been blown away by the talk of possible, mega rich, Americans coming in and investing in the infrastructure, players, in fact everything on a grand scale. I just hope I'm not heading for a fall, but if someone like Ashley does take over and improves the club at a slower pace, it will certainly be better than what we have become use to. -

You do come across as being a bit Ashley obsessed, no offence. I just hope we do better, with owners of real ambition and money, lots of it. -

It's "the real deal" comment that excites me. I just hope my interpretation is the same as the Administrators. -

I for one will be bitterly disappointed if whoever the new owner is hasn't got long term plans to invest in everything and a stated aim to get to the Premier League in 5 years. Bold yes, but it will give us all a boost and something to look forward to as the months/years pass -

Thats the problem with Ashley, we need real money and a long term plans, team, infrastructure, growth, everything we haven't had for at least 30 years. Time for the big boys. -

I can't see Ashley getting us. Wants us for peanuts when we are in lobster territory. USA, USA. -
If can avoid points deductions for 26/27 season, with mega rich new owners, we will do fine. Premier League by 2030, or earlier, here we come.
-
Okay, my bad. I took things too literally, just wanted staff looked after.
-
I replied to your post before you added the last paragraphs. Sorry, take care.

No I haven't. Kit sponsorship is great, well done. Wages sponsorship is another thing. I appreciate you are raising money for the Club but to state it was specifically for two players kit, I didn't agree with.
-
That isn't the case though, clearly stated for players kit.
