Even though he was used as a DM at Wednesday and he's been used as a No 10 at Gainsborough, I've always thought he was a better box to box midfielder. I also think it scandoulous that at least one of the midfield 3 of the u18's League and play off winning season are not at the club now and they were treated and not given a chance like some other players at the club. I do know that when we did win the u18 League and play off, United had a big meeting within their academy and Wilder was also present with a board member. They demanded why Connor Grant and the 2 Liam's were on Wednesday books and not United. A few days later, a few changes were made within their setup. My worry is the same will happen to Rio Shipston

My guess is If he has been offered a pro deal while he's still at school, not only is he doing well because he's been involved with the age group up but he might have interest from other clubs. Composation goes up if he signs for someone else even if he doesn't sign a pro deal with us. It might not be the case here, but I know that can be the case.

They can be offered pro deals, but they can't sign it until they turn 17.
