Retro SWFC 'Teletext' style mugs
ProudOwl replied to ProudOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
That's why I wouldn't intend on using the words Ceefax or the BBC logo. The one I made was for my own consumption so they can get to f*ck. -

I did think that. Ceefax died along with the analogue signal switch off in 2012 I think. -
8 is definitely Blundell Park - I remember one of our strikers (probably Shefki Kuqi) hitting that scoreboard with a shot and the ball bounced back onto the pitch.

Retro SWFC 'Teletext' style mugs

Someone already is, but they're not as good. http://p302.co.uk/ Obviously the trademarks would be taken off. -
I was bored and playing around on Adobe Illustrator the other day and created this design. I liked it so much I had it put on a mug to annoy a particular Hartlepool supporting workmate. It arrived this morning. What do you think? Do you think there is a market for this sort of thing? Obviously if I were to sell these commercially I wouldn't be able to use the words 'Ceefax' or 'BBC' or anything like that, but I could do custom designs for any game. No idea why the image is sideways, it's the right way up on my computer.

Not sure if this is the right area - I'm a long time lurker here but don't post as much as I'd like. A week on Saturday, my brother and I will be jogging (i'd love to say running but given the hills in the way, probably not) from Hillsborough to Huddersfield just in time for us to see the massive take another step towards a playoff place. We've managed to create a route which is exactly 26.2 miles which is exactly a marathon. We'd love to receive any money you can spare in sponsorship - all the money will go to the Sheffield Children's Hospital. We've never done anything like this distance before so it's going to be a real challenge. We've also not managed to get tickets in the away end because they sold out so quickly, so we're going to have to sit in the home end so spare us a thought! Anyway, here is our Just Giving link; https://www.justgiving.com/hiketohuddersfield Anything you can spare will be much appreciated - can a mod please pin this? Thanks Matt

Parked at Kilburn last time on one of the side streets under the tube station (it's free). Jubilee line straight to London Bridge then on the train to South Bermondsey. Was back on the M1 going northbound in no time at all afterwards.

Manchester City's celebration after their last minute winner
ProudOwl replied to a topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
What's wrong with celebrating a goal? Any other team would have done the same. -
Forgot about Mikkel Bischoff. I have no recollection of him at all.

http://www.sporcle.com/games/Resistance/swfc0009 How many can you get? Makes you realise how many cr@p players we had throughout that period.

What is the correct capacity of Hillsborough?
ProudOwl replied to Pompeyowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It was always given as 39,852 in the old Merlin's sticker albums in the late 90's. -
What, like Lewis McGugan? Don't think Watford would let him go to just anyone.

Traffic Wardens out in force tonight
ProudOwl replied to Taximark's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If you might be delayed, pay for three hours then. Why should you be allowed extra time when other people have paid for the correct allocation of time? -
My abiding memory was his first touch. Trapped it into the grandstand from a throw in.

Bags four in a 10-2 rout. Our new 20 goal a season striker? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27168757

So how come it wasn't a sending off ?
ProudOwl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This Said it in the other thread, was a really heavy touch. -
Playing devils advocate here, but does anyone else think Maghoma's touch round the keeper was very heavy and taking him away from the goal? Can see it both ways to be fair.

Tell us about your first big Sheffield Wednesday hero
ProudOwl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Gerald Sibon. Even though he was a lazy, lanky streak of wee. Scored a hat trick v QPR in my first game.
