  1. Only 6!
  2. Have you ever come across a fanbase that has any level of introspection? Everyone just accuses the other of being soft, making stuff up or "the minority" for issues.
  3. Isn't that exactly the point though? People want to feel a connection to their heroes! They want to be able to say "they're just like us". And then being able to shake their hand afterwards whilst revelling in your own former glories, reflected in theirs.
  4. I've been on a couple of cruises where they've had guest speakers doing an hour like this. Mike Gatting was one. I don't really remember him as a player and a lot of the references were lost on me, but it was still really funny and interesting because he could tell a story. You don't have to know the characters to find a human story funny or moving. As long as it's "real" it works.
  5. Can you get Guinness 0.0% in the stands? Or any alcohol free beers?
  6. The prices will be key. If you're expecting people to shell out £40 a ticket to watch us in League one it's going to be a hard sell! Reasonably priced season tickets is the key! Particularly for families! I'm in that boat. My last game was Wembley. After DC sacked Moore that was the last straw for me. He didn't get a penny more from me (or my family). My dad and I are going to this game and it's jarring to be honest having to shell out £76 for me and an OAP! I had a season ticket for 25+ years then membership for a couple. But once you're out of the habit and have found other things to spend your money on it's a bit of a shock. I've adopted a kid and taken up golf since my last visit to Hillsborough and honestly, I'm not sure I see myself getting a season ticket again any time soon. I asked my daughter if she wanted to come to this game as it would be a big one (and her first) and she said "No, it's too long" (she's only 6). She's clearly a couple of years away from wanting to go and I'm not going without my family on the regular. Whoever comes in NEEDS to look at pricing. It's utterly obscene that to watch a single game of second division football, played by two teams struggling at the bottom, one who WILL be relegated, could cost 2 adults over £100! No single game should ever cost over £50 in this division.
  7. Just checked and I've somehow got priority points even though I haven't been since May 2023!
  8. Managed to get a couple yesterday, which was confusing because I shouldn't have been eligible until 9am this morning!
  9. As a season ticket holder for 30 years it's not something I ever thought about before! I had my ticket so it never bothered me. Now I'm on the outside looking in somewhat.
  10. There's 5 of us pal! That would double the price of the tickets!
  11. Just seems random for a game that will potentially be massively over subscribed. And makes a bit of a nonsense about having to have a purchase history. What's to stop a ST holder buying a ticket for their Blade mate? They'd be mad to, but not impossible!
  12. That's what I don't get. I'm likely not going to get one because I've not been for 2 years thanks to DC. But I'm going to miss out to someone who has been bought one by a mate who has a season ticket who might never have been to a football match before!
  13. Am I being thick here, but why would season ticket holders need to buy a ticket? Why has it gone on sale to them before other categories? They've got a ticket!
  14. Cash money init. Players can go to Championship teams and out earn even the big 2! And without the big European nights around so much any more players see the Championship as a better option!
  15. My first girlfriend was the daughter of the (then) Celtic CEO. Needless to say he didn't live in a council flat. My boss is also a massive Celtic fan and they're p*ssed off that their board sold all their better players, held out on signings (which cost them Champions League football arguably), then brought in a few token signings late in the day. They don't feel like their support is matched by the ambition (or lack thereof) of the board.
  16. What, you mean you don't want to pay £59 for last season's shirt? Bad customer! https://shop.swfc.co.uk/MAC2401
  17. They aren't saying the fans are too violent. They are saying they can't guarentee any protests against them as Israelis won't turn violent (from one side or both).
  18. WMP's concern seems to be for the overall safety of the event due to wider protests, and not just violence by the MTA fans. It reads that they didn't have an issue with the football fans as such, more the concern of any protests against them by locals which would be totally uncontrollable in comparison!
  19. I know. But that wasn't the answer was it
  20. Oxford, never played in the Premier League.
  21. Someone bought be a Lyle and Scott polo shirt the other week. I'd never spend that kind of money on a teeshirt myself. They got it reduced to £38, reduced from £58. I bought a similar one from Primark for £4. I can guarantee without even touching this shirt that it is not better quality than either of those two shirts.
  22. Out of the frying pan...
  23. I think people are kidding themselves if they think prices will fall under a new owner. My daughter is 6, there is zero chance I'm buying her a legit one any time soon, it will be trashed!
