I know. But that wasn't the answer was it

Oxford, never played in the Premier League.

Someone bought be a Lyle and Scott polo shirt the other week. I'd never spend that kind of money on a teeshirt myself. They got it reduced to £38, reduced from £58. I bought a similar one from Primark for £4. I can guarantee without even touching this shirt that it is not better quality than either of those two shirts.

DHGate shirt has arrived

I think people are kidding themselves if they think prices will fall under a new owner. My daughter is 6, there is zero chance I'm buying her a legit one any time soon, it will be trashed! -
Is it for Christmas 2027? Even that's a bit much for DC, selling half season tickets 2 years in advance!

THESE young players though…
mattitheowl replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I said to my Mrs after an hour, the thing that impressed me the most was their bravery. They could have spent the whole game just kicking the ball away, in a low block. But they didn't. They played between the lines, escaped tight spaces and endeavoured to attack when the opportunities came. That performance is something to be really proud of for everyone involved last night. Apart from DC, he can go f*ck himself! -
Most of those are EFL sponsors so only giving him as much money as they do to every other club in this competition.

A must listen (it's a short clip don't worry)

Too many Wednesdayites just go to the football as a leisure activity, if SWFC go away, they'll just shrug and go to the cinema or Meadowhall instead. They say things like "it's in my blood" and "it's a family thing" but what they mean is "I don't want to miss out". All they see is that they might lose their seat that they've had since god was a lad or that they won't have a common ground to spend time with their family doing something else with. Everyone of them has an excuse, and that's what it is, an excuse, as to why they don't want to make a personal sacrifice. And that's fine, each to their own. But they will get zero from me when the worst happens and they are complaining. If you don't sacrifice, you can't moan.- 99 replies

Why, are they starting?

That's the takeover, the buyers were approved months ago, the owner then refused to sell to them! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1dnkz5elk7o

The buyers were approved months ago, it was the sellers who were causing the issues!

It's a thankless task. But Rob was talking about "changes in systems or personnel". We haven't got any personnel FFS! No point questioning the manager's choice to make (or not) substitutions, he's literally juggling kids and playing time for the only players we have. Just describe the game, tell us what's happening and move on.
-
I fear that they, like us, have too many "not missed a game since 1937" types who would go no matter what. Also their tickets are like rocking horse sh*t these days so it's a bum fight to get tickets every game (and I think they have a priority system in place too so any ticket would help that). It's a lovely though, but the Lepp will be the only full stand.

Can only go on what I heard on the TV but sounded to be plenty of moaning and groaning around the commentators. I also don't think the iFollow commentators really help the situation when they are talking about "changes in systems and personnel". We haven't got any f*cking personnel for christ's sake! We're basically playing a system we can fit 1 player in to each position!

Big opportunity for the Trust - BOYCOTT LEEDS
mattitheowl replied to alanharper's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The players don't need support on the pitch, they need support from an owner who pays them, one who provides the relevant equipment and facilities required to excel as the professionals they are, I'm pretty sure they would understand a full boycott of this game in order to drive home the message! -
Some right mental gymnastics and basic misunderstanding of simple concepts in this thread!
-
Just need some white bags over seats, spelling the word "OUT" under his name on the North stand for the Stoke game. Lovely and visible from every camera angle in the place!

I also fear there was a lot of emotion in play today, that "us against the world" feeling in a game everyone had us down to lose 6-0. Once that wears off and we've got a few defeats, injuries and suspensions behind us it could start to get really messy in some games.

Who leaves before the next game?

If Charles is still here come September I'll be amazed. Absolute best we can hope for is a sale and loan back! -
My mother in law lives opposite Brunton park and was telling me how much their prices had gone up to. I didn't believe her and had to google it. £26 to watch non-league football is an absolute travesty!

DH Gate 25/26 Home Shirt - Arrived

That's like saying if you put tap water in a Perrier bottle you're supporting Nestle! If you buy a knock off shirt it's just a massive 2 fingers to DC! -

Why do those close to Chansiri trust him?
mattitheowl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I guess it depends who you are and at what level. I've spoken to ex staff who say he's an absolute lunatic who makes and breaks promises for fun. Perhaps it's survivor bias that you're looking at in this situation i.e. the people who remain think he's genuine and doing his best because they haven't been on the end of his lunacy and lies. Perhaps Bannan and Pederson think "doing his best" means seeking to sell? Or perhaps it's just self preservation. But ultimately it's all personal perspective. I worked at a place where the MD was a lunatic. It was like the Wolf of Wall Street! I used to go to work scared I'd be sacked for eating my lunch in the wrong way. But some people have worked there 20 years and think it's great, they're institutionalised and don't know it's not normal to have the boss throw his laptop from a 3rd floor window, or have the sales director snorting nose candy in the toilets at the Christmas do.
