  1. Poor Danny, he was so convinced he would get a top job but I guess 1.5 seasons as a manager of a lower tier championship club managing mid table obscurity (Still good) just doesn't really cut it for champions league teams.. I can understand his frustration but I think he needs to lower his expectations a bit, maybe look to take on something like a stable championship club, get them promoted and keep them in the prem, then he could get a mid tier prem job and do well with them maybe take them into Europe, go quite far, then maybe Champions League teams would look at him..
  2. It could take back to back promotions to come from the national league.. But then I guess look at Wrexham so anything is possible..
  3. I like the idea.. Although I understand season ticket holders have already paid so not to go is no skin off DC's nose.. I had thought about maybe everyone could turn up 5mins late especially to a game that is broadcast on sky, that would look really good if the home crowd was completely missing at the start of the game.. I like the idea of staying on to try to increase costs however the staff would just ask you to leave and potentially you could be looking at tresspass or even agrivated tresspass if you refuse to leave.. I think coming into the game after 5mins like I say especially on a game shown on sky would have a more noticable and wider journalistic effect.
  4. Embargos are pointless, even points deduction is pointless.. In our position what exactly will it change? The EFL need to be stronger and remove SWFC participation in the EFL if DC does not sell by the end of the season..
  5. The Scarfs and the chansiri out songs were great against Portsmouth and well done to the Portsmouth fans for applauding when the fans sang those songs... Keep up the pressure..
  6. This season has nothing to do with football... We are relegated, we are probably the only club in all the leagues that know for certain we are going to be relegated and have no hope.. HOWEVER!!! This season is about forcing Chansiri out, starving him of income or waiting for the football regulator law changes to force him to sell... The debt has been called in, it is all starting to crumble around him. The club was not worth 100M at the end of last season, it is definately not worth that now... There is a silver lining, some of the youngsters are getting a chance to play regular football, it is a great opportunity, in one sence there is no real pressure on them, I would not be at all surprised if we go the entire season without a win. My personal take from a business point of view if I was looking to buy Sheff Wed, I would wait, DC will either get desperate or be forced out, add to that if you bought the club now the fans would desperately want you to spend big in the Jan transfer window to try to keep us up, that would be a massive risk given our likely position, an impossible place and a potential waste of money... I think it would be better to wait until after the Jan transfer window to buy the club that was you could look to next season in league one which would give you time to sort out infrastructure and the commercial side, get a backroom staff and manager you want in place... We all know Wednesday are a big fish in a small pond in league one so the difficulty to get promoted with a bit of money spending would be much less and better to get the fans on side with starting off with a promotion and build from there... Its fustrating but I think this season was done before we even kicked a football..
  7. Our squad is thread bare, this will mean senior players especially over the festive period and beyond will be playing a lot of games, risking injuries in a cup game is not an option as we cannot afford any injuries so its about protecting the senior players.
  8. Those that are really protesting are staying away.. 20k attendance is poor, must still be a lot paying on the gate.. Surely though when we just keep losing even those most die hard of fans will get bored..
  9. Chansiri do something as dodgy as that surely not lol.
  10. This would be a great idea.. Every club knows they could end up in our situation, there are two types of clubs, sharks that try to circle taking chunks and supporters that try to help.. Also a Man Utd should be praised for allowing the young Harry to us and covering the wages...
  11. Surely any manager in the current position you could say is a puppet.. Its an opportunity for Pederson, one that he might not otherwise have, you really can't blame the guy and obviously he is going to try to do his best in the job to try to create a career as a manager.. Röhl was in a different position, he had proved himself and wanted to step up but the club and owner did not share his ambitions.. We all knew this season with the team we have we are going to be relegation fodder, we will be lucky to get more than a couple of wins all season and next season is going to be much of the same again but in league one.. There is only one person to blame for our current position and its definately not Pederson.. Is he a Championship manager no probably not but then most of the players have been thrust into the same position and they are trying to do a job to the best of their ability to further their careers, making the best of a bad situation and taking advantage of an opportunity, don't dis anyone for doing that..
  12. Surely someone can come up with something like "Chansiri Outstanding", the when in the ground cover "standing" so it says "Chansiri Out", I am sure someone far better with words than me could come up with something really good.. But basically make a sign that looks like it supports Chansiri to get it in the ground but then tear a bit off so it says something negative..
  13. The problem is he will as the stadium is no longer owned by the club.. The regulator might be able to take the club but I doubt they can take the stadium... Where does that leave the club? We will still be in the same position.. I really worry that when not if the Regulator take the club from him he will do everything he can to destroy the club as revenge.. We honestly may have to rely on another club to give us somewhere to play and then a very rich owner that can build us a new modern stadium but it will take decades to recover..
  14. Does he not realise its the sharks circling a dying club, a business he has destroyed...
  15. Dont think Bannan being a ledgend for the club is much of a debate.. He has shown loyalty time and time again, he could have gone to any top Championship club but has stuck with us when we got relegated to league one and has again stuck with us through our troubles.. Cant think of a recent player with that sort of loyalty.. Add to that he gives his all and not sure anyone is going to hate on saying Bannan is a Legend, we might have had better players at the club but Bannan is probably the most loyal in the last 20+yrs by far..
  16. Hovarth what a game and all the kids can be proud of that game... Just amazing..
  17. Those fans that say they will keep going.. I wonder how long their apathy will last when we lose every game and are destined for relegation.. Nobody wants to go watch a football game when you know you will lose.. If I said the score will be 3-0 to Leeds tonight and that will be the scoreline, why would anyone bother spending money to go..
  18. Sensible approach and inline with the trust, well done.
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c36jy2l6rplo I think the penny is starting to drop.. Chansiri will be the first test of the governments new powers to remove unworthy owners..
  20. If that is the case then why worry about them, surely the trust then speaks for the supports enough.. All I am saying is if I was running an alternative supporters group and I said why don't the trust and other groups all come together under my umbrella I think the trust would have a problem with that.. All I am saying is rather than bringing them under some kind of umbrella like the trust is the all powerful and only real supporters group then why not bring them in under a new banner of say owls supporters quorum.
  21. To be clear I do not want to splinter off I actually support what the trust is doing 100% however for those that might not be as supportive of the trust the umbrella dictatorship might not be seen as very welcoming where as a quorum might be a better solution to unite everyone..
  22. I totally agree with unity.. However I do not think this is the best way to engage, saying that all other groups should come under the umbrella of the trust will not happen, it would be much better to create a consortium of groups where leaders can come together and send out a united message.. I am sure that you think all other members coming under the umbrella of the trust is a good thing because you support the views of the trust, it is this sort of thing that creates division.. Please think again..
  23. Yeah by your comment... WTF.. I replied to original post suggesting maybe we could not play in cup with a reference to man utd.. I think my points were valid.. Whats your problem?
  24. Yeah agreed but it would I guess be DC decision so he would want to stay in to drag out his tenure
  25. Cup would generate more income, in Manure's position the amount of money they were going to get was absolutely small fry, for us not so much, plus we have a load of youngsters that will need game time as will need to play at some point so might as well use it to give them game time.
