  2. FFS Whats wrong with Depor? Or Salford?
  3. Are we actually going to play anyone this offseason?
  4. Not really. Just some of us realise that it’s more complicated that just getting rid of him.
  5. All this entitled whinging is making me love Dejphon more
  6. Find me one that currently owns a club of our size please
  7. I think Chansiri has some major issues with his attitude, ego, understanding of football and ownership style. He doesn’t listen or pay enough attention to the club at key moments. I also don’t think he’s rich enough to own a football club like Wednesday. But I don’t think he’s as bad as people make out. He does the best given the above failings. He’s spent his own wealth on us, given us entertainment and stability compared to the drama of the decades before. The other issue is fan attitude. Chansiri is spending his money but fans treat it like their own money. I understand what he gets annoyed at during fans forums. A lack of gratefulness. Why do we think it’s ok to spend someone else’s riches? However, he’s about as good as we’re going to get. Sorry but it’s true. Football ownership is a mad man’s game. You have to be rich, willing to lose a ton of money, willing to spend cash and be criticised for any poor decision. How many rich people are there that tick the list of what we want? They all bring baggage. Many are in it to screw over clubs sadly. Asset stripping or running them into bankruptcy. If you get an ambitious, rich group buy you then money tends to come from nefarious sources or they want to propel the club to further their own business aims. Wednesday are not an attractive prospect for the kind of owner you all want. Yorkshire isn’t wealthy or investable to the same degree as London or Manchester. The underlying numbers show this - we don’t spend enough as a fan base. The city doesn’t attract business like some others either - Man City was a perfect investment as the city is seeing huge investment, is becoming a business centre, has an airport and already has a legacy of Man Utd. Sheffield has nothing similar at all. A new owner has to take on debt, have cash in bucket loads, be willing to tolerate a huge, noisy and entitled fan base that doesn’t have much cash to throw around, build a new stadium and do it all without much hope for a long term return. The Burnley Model - Debt The nearest similar deal was that of Burnley. We can probably only hope for that - a leveraged buy out that is extremely risky and saddles the club with debt. I’m not sure the type of owner you all want, really exists.
  8. Seen the link and as I know a fair bit about Barry, thought I’d come and post. Saw him at Salford where I’ve got a season ticket. He’s far too good for lower leagues. Fast, tricky with a developing end product. Questioned why he dropped to League 2 at the time especially with his Barca pedigree. But he has an ego and an aggressive agent. Costs a lot! Has a large entourage and not necessarily seen as a team player. Left winger, fast but small. Not physical which may be his issue in the Championship. Loves to cut inside and shoot. Id take him but don’t be surprised if Danny doesn’t see him as a culture fit or quite what we need in this league.

  10. Spanish and Italian tv had Spain, France and Germany as favourites. England had England as favourites.
  11. The real issue is the arrogance of England fans. Thinking they were favourites and had a chance. Spain are in a different league. England did well not to get spanked. Why? It’s not managers. De la Fuente is literally the Spanish equivalent of Southgate!!! It’s the fact that Spain loves possession, passing and creativity. Not physicality. England youth are big and strong. You end up with Rice as your best talent. And get blown away by Zubimendi off the bench… Spain plays the talented youth. It doesn’t hide it like Wharton, Mainoo and Walcott (back in the day). And we can do that because Spanish teams play their kids. Go look at the number of appearances made by Pedri, Yamal, Ferran Torres and Fermín López. Their clubs rotate them to keep them fit. England plays players into the ground till they are knackered at major finals.
  12. Lol lololololololllololololololoooloooloooooolololololololoooooooo
  13. owlstalk attitudes against me, the resident Spaniard
  14. As usual the attitudes in England make me want Spain to win hope we score early, 3 up at the half and win by 5. Make the whole experience miserable for all of you
  15. Saying that, I can’t see England winning. Having watched Spain in every game for years, I’ve thought they are the best team in the world for quite some time. How no one else saw that is beyond me?! An injection of youth, pace and directness to a legacy of tiki taka. Beautiful. By far the best team in the world. Won Nations League but got zero plaudits during that time. Shocking.
  16. Feels nice that my team has won the euros already. Either is fine with me. Ive already seen Spain win 3 major trophies so would be nice to see England win for once. However, due to the stick I got in 1996, it would be nice revenge. ¡Vamos!
  17. We aren’t going to sign more than 1 new CB. That will be Dishon or someone new. Then we’re full and complete at the back. We need a ball winning CDM to replace Vaulks. Definitely don’t have this yet so assume it will be a loan. We are looking at Myles Peart-Harris as midfield depth. He’s attacking so would cover Windass. Do we have a proper Box to Box midfielder? Ingelsson closest to this description. We need a striker. Ugbo and McNeill the targets but unless someone leaves we won’t sign both. Can’t see where Poveda fits unless Wilks leaves.

  19. Is this a replacement because Poveda isn’t signing
  20. New Signings Needed: Starting Keeper - Beadle to be announced soon 2x CB’s - Bernard and Iorfa likely CDM - Need a Vaulks replacement. None linked yet Midfield Depth - Likely a loan Striker - McNeill has been linked. Ugbo unlikely Also seeing links to Poveda and Wright who are wingers. Can’t see both being signed but Wright may be a backup plan if Ian doesn’t sign.
