(*Rob passed away last August 7th, aged 51..) In praise of our son Robert, who unnwaveringly supported that club through and past his childhood, and in praise of SWFC, their squad and its quality Boss, Danni Röhl, who took the tiller in the dangerous waters of this season, when it was 3 month old, and steered them very close* to impressive safety in the Championship. Die-hard Rob succumbed to NH Lymphoma as this season started, but we followed every game with “the Massive”, and clung to his often-said hope that Mr Chansiri would find the right boss, early doors. Well, he did, and we the fans gave DC a hard time, and in true Sheffield character, noted amongst Owls -and- Blades, we should now show him some backing, because he must have learnt some hard lessons this season, and we’d be reyt soft to throw that away just to slag him off. Never mind the outcome. He gave it a good go, and he chucked some money at it, and he will again, you can see he’s his own worse critic. He’s trying to tell us that he’ll be 10 times stronger if WE are there for him. Come to the games, home and away, like the owner asks. Rob was sure DC would turn it around, so am I.
