NEWS: DNA spray to be used at Sheffield derby
wiggy replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
For those saying it will be just used on the blades in the upper tier, I think we can safely assume it will be reciprocated at the lane. I’ve no issues with it so long as it’s used appropriately. I’m getting sick of being over policed at away games. Wallets searched, coins confiscated etc. It feels like time and resources could be spent policing bigger issues in the country right now. But that’s a wider discussion. -
Alright, shake it off

The WORST player on the pitch tonight by a mile

Fellaini from Poundland -
General sale……but…..but……it’s a closed shop!!!! People can’t get away tickets because everyone just buys a kids ticket and doesn’t go!?!? Oh no…..it’s just miles away and we are losing games again.

Urgent spending needed to pay SWFC wages this week

Somebody on here will have a proper answer on it I am sure. But that’s my best guess! I’ve even resorted to buying the away purple monstrosity. As you said previously I’ll never wear it because I’d look ridiculous also -

I don’t know the ins and outs of it, but can companies pay staff from donations? Would a donation be subject to tax? I don’t know. As I say it’s a great idea, love the sentiment, not having a dig, just feel there might be some reason we can’t just give money. -

Agree and like the sentiment but alternatively just buy something mate. Buy a membership, buy a horrible shirt, buy a ticket and give it to a friend. -
Said Deijphon to potential buyers just before settling for 25p on the pound

Both shirts. Might be back for that retro jacket over the weekend

Yes! Hartlepool away. You had to send in 5 stubs to be eligible and it was all via post.

I may be remembering it wrong, but weren’t they introduced when we had trouble of some sort somewhere and the premise was you’d have to show it at the away turnstyle? It felt like it lasted for like one game, the away club never checked them and then they got refunded. I still have mine somewhere!! To your point about queuing up, I nearly missed out on tickets for Brentford away in the mind the gap season as I got to the queue at 6am and it was already miles long. Despite having been to every away game that season prior. People who joined later didn’t get them. Based on that experience I am a big fan of the TPP being the fairest way.

Bring back the Owls away card. Thats what I say
-
I’m not saying it’s not an issue at all. But if you regularly go away you see the same old faces. That’s a fact. Your talking about a small percentage of people who play the system. The way to stop this would be random spot checks at away grounds. But this takes time effort and resources. It’s another one of the myths amongst the fanbase. People speak like 95% of the away following are doing this. In reality it’s probably more like 5%

100% this!!!

The minute administrator puts season tickets on sale

1 here soon as we know DC is gone and 2 shirts and that jacket with the old owl on -
It was a disgrace that yesterday. Totally killed our momentum. 1 min 40 seconds the game was stopped. Ref only added 5 on. It’s not just Charlton who do it, but it’s a real problem that needs dealing with.

I agree. But sometimes they fall flat without the reach and publicity the trust have. Eg. Tennis balls, bag a seat. All about opinions. But personally I’m trying to back the trust actions in the hope greater numbers will too and the impact will be greater
-
The point is the collective strength and showing of unity. It’s not needing the trust to tell you. If the boycott against Boro is a flop do you think the masses will join in the next one? A coordinated, organised boycott is far better than one person just deciding them self not to go. Because another will just take their place.
