Thought this was another article in the Star of him throwing his hat in for the managers job again.

I don't think Milton Keynes is anywhere near as bad to live in as people make out. It has a reputation as being a bit of a concrete jungle, but it actually has quite a lot of nature reserves. I think Paterson went to MK Dons to play as a striker. He's played every single game as the central striker, and I think that's the position he (personally) enjoys the most.

I agree. Bailey is the perfect foil for someone like Windass.

Great player on his day. Injuries nowhere near as bad as people make out. His season average is actually pretty good. Largely just one bad season. Saying all of the above he was desperate to leave and perhaps should have last Summer. Hasn't looked happy for sometime. A project like Wrexham was what he was looking for as he quite likes the media spotlight. I wish him all the best.

Has to be Brown and Cadz in our position. You just need work rate every single week. We won't beat teams due to quality but merely outworking them.

He's 19 now so if he's ready he should be in the first team regardless of our position. Certainly looked ready today!

I think it's crazy how much talent you can pick up from the Premier clubs. Brown had to have a trial with us to get a contract and is looking like a decent player. -

Hopefully the EFL block it but if he was to sign post takeover (it that ever happens) then he wouldn't be a bad signing under the circumstances. -
Looks like it's for geographical reasons. His family are in the Midlands.

BREAKING - TRUST Release Report On DC Business Interests
swfcGibbo replied to TZOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
There's a ton of Reddit posts on this which are worth a read. By all accounts Red Lobster were also made to only buy Shrimp from the Thai Union Group so I think some of those losses were offset against this. Again sounds familiar. Family have/had so much wealth and are slowly imploding. It's classic generational wealth behaviour. -
BREAKING - TRUST Release Report On DC Business Interests

This is the key point I've been trying to hammer home all summer. We've missed four sets of wages yet the money for season tickets etc has all gone. How can the EFL possibly believe that is sustainable? -
Very good player. Strong, athletic and a grounded young man. I think he will have an excellent career.

New face spotted at Wednesday
swfcGibbo replied to YesWeCrann's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I really can't understand why anyone would come to this club under the current regime. Cant be to better themselves surely. -
Had some bad injuries he can't shake. Last time I looked Clough was giving him a month to decide on his future. I think he will retire in all honesty. Shame really as he looked good when he went to Mansfield. I imagine a year of not playing at his age while here didn't help. Another player messed about by Chansiri.

There's an interesting thread on it here.

Surprised they've let him go. He was excellent in the Championship last time.
-
Good analogy but don't most classic car enthusiasts look for rust? We've got a fair bit across the training ground and Hillsborough stadium which may cost a pretty penny to fix.
-
Agreed. Despite all his shortcomings what he's done to the club this summer is unbelievable. He's depreciated his own asset by a large sum. It's also ironic that he's criticised clubs like Brentford for pushing the youth set up yet now we are in a position where we are reliant on largely untested youth to fill the squad. Furthermore his reluctance to sell any player for years to then sell some of our better assets for pittance is unbelievable.
-
His move to Luton was always an odd one. Ipswich would be a terrific move for him though.
-
Silly question but why would anyone purchase us now? If we end the window with perhaps one signing then we will be well adrift by the January window even without a points deduction. What is the benefit of someone buying us this season Vs next as a 'big' League one club? Surely the ship has sailed in terms of this year and any buyer would get better ROI in the Summer?

Really odd situation. Feel for Pederson and the boys as squad depth is essential to compete but obviously want to drive Chansiri out of the club. Such a surreal situation as a fan.
