I think a huge chunk of our fanbase feels disillusioned. I know I do. This shows more when you don’t have the guarantee of season ticket holders there. Don’t think that’s been more obvious than when we played City in 2020. A game where most other championship clubs would have sold the stadium out, I could barely sit through it on BBC.

Ground rent leaves us without money to spend???
PEARSON replied to Bloxwich Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I read somewhere our wage budget is the 9th highest in the league, not sure if that’s accurate but I do think some of our players are on higher wages than most people would expect. We also don’t sell players and have virtually zero commercial revenue. Chansiri definitely puts money into the club, it’s just spent very badly and we don’t generate any other income. -
Bury did play last season. I went to a few games. They ground shared with Radcliffe and occasionally Darwin. Pretty sure they’ve had a promotion since they’ve been formed aswell so maybe it’s 10 leagues down you’d start. They’re in the north west counties premier division now and there is a league below that.

It was so much better last night……

Before last night they was 4th from bottom. When you’re playing 4th from bottom getting beat 3-0 isn’t a good sign. Maybe I’m wrong but I think they’ll be in the relegation battle (making them one of the worst teams). I don’t know you can say that a team in 18th is a long, long way from one of the worst teams, either. I wasn’t at the Huddersfield game so can’t comment but Boro should have beaten us and that’s probably the best we’ve played whilst they was having a crisis of form. -

It’s all about opinions isn’t it and I respect yours. Honestly you’re a better person than me for taking some positives away from that. But for me the stats might be heading in the right direction (they couldn’t get any worse let’s be honest) but the same fundamental problems are there and are unlikely to be fixed until we get to January. To put it bluntly we can’t defend and we can’t score. I’ve never seen a team look so far out of their depth. -

We lost 3-0 against one of the worst teams in the league. It looks like men v boys in every game we play, even when we’ve scraped a draw. Hats off to people taking the positives out of that but for me it’s a genuine worry that we won’t win a game all season. It’s not Rohls fault, worryingly it probably wasn’t even Munoz’s fault. The recruitment and fore-planning for coming up to the championship has been diabolical. I think this is a mid-table league one team getting embarrassed in the championship. -
I don’t think money is the main issue, I think it’s pride. I can’t Chansiri admitting to any sort of error whilst his ownership is in question. If he sacks Xisco now it shows that he got the whole Moore situation massively wrong.

Wednesday - V - Sunderland OMDT
PEARSON replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
As fans I think we need to be making things toxic. This can’t continue as it is, Chansiri won’t sack him, so we need to make him (and hopefully Chansiri) walk -
King Prince Charles to be new owner?

Absolute no brainer. We’re down with or without a points deduction. Anything to get that clown out of the club- 176 replies

Lions, mice, 5% not up to it, Leeds 'better'
PEARSON replied to YesWeCrann's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
These comments are so worrying. Infact everything he does is worrying. If a manager came in with the purposes of destroying a team they’d do everything Xisco is doing. If a chairman had the purpose of destroying a club they’d do everything Chansiri is doing. It’s not hard to see why us fans aren’t happy -
Transfer window ends 23.00 September 1st. Expectations?

We need a good striker. We will not get a good striker -
It’s very early to say but I thought he looked poor tbh

Are all midweek championship games still on sky?

I can’t see a single person buying them. Bizarre scheme
-
I think that actually suits the players we have currently. Probably more than 5-3-2 so I’m happy with it

Can’t believe United are at home first game, Boxing Day and last game of the season
-
Reality is it’s a very even game. They’ve beaten us twice but we’ve finished higher in the league. It’s hard to call a favourite.

He was immense. Really hope we sign him even if we go up, as I think he could be a good championship player. He gives me Keiran Lee vibes despite playing a completely different position
-
I personally think there’s an advantage of playing the 1st leg at home first. You can get a good advantage to take into the 2nd leg. We’re a perfect example of the home team getting a good advantage making the 2nd leg difficult (or for us borderline impossible). I think the play offs should be 1 off games played at the 3rd and 4th place teams ground. Still keeps it interesting and there’s chance of a surprise but does give more of an advantage to the teams that have finished higher in the league

Moore In/Out - Time for a Poll

Haha true! Any time there is pressure we crumble! -
Is next season a write off too?
PEARSON replied to RUMBELOWS91's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
No, football moves fast. If we get a few of our transfers right (a tough ask) then we’ll be right in the mixer again. We need to change the profile of player that we’re going for though.
