  1. Well, they are in for a rude awakening. If his plan is to contest this in court, then I think he will probably lose, however; the main fear would be whether there is anything to actually fight over.
  2. Tbf, I'd suggest most managers probably overestimate their abilities a little. I mean, you've got to have an awful lot of self belief to succeed in something like football management, right? If Danny Röhl is going to make it to the top, part of that will be his own self belief and thinking he's good enough to do so.
  3. Did anyone honestly think they'd just be able to come in and take it off him?
  4. And there was me thinking the club isn't leaking testicles information ATM. Did you honestly expect to read that Channers knows he is screwed and the IFR is going to take the club off him?
  5. I was actually in Glasgow recently and thought it was half decent tbh. In saying that, I didn't bother venturing near either Ibrox or Celtic Park. Rangers were playing Hibs in the cup. Nearly went, and then said f*ck that when I was told they don't serve alcohol in Scottish grounds.
  6. Are you seriously trying to equate the situation we are in to that of Glasgow Rangers?! In fact, not only are you equating the two, you are suggesting that the Rangers job is less desirable than the Sheffield Wednesday one at present.
  7. North London Forever is utter sh*te.
  8. Yeah, I think it's the mindset and pressure that catches these Championship players out. Yes, there are going to be expectations when playing in England's second tier, but it's quite rare you'll be expected to win every single week and win trophies every season. Problem with Rangers is they probably need someone who can hit the ground running.
  9. The whole Pep approach is contingent upon that DM who cannot not only protect the defence but also act as a deep lying playmaker. Rodri is probably the best in the world at doing it.
  10. Funnily enough, the one signing that people say has done well is Gass. Rangers have become strangely obsessed with snapping up Championship players over the last few years, many of whom have looked massively out of their depth. This summer they signed Thelo Aasgaard who was playing in League One last season before moving to Luton...to then end up back in League One. Can't say I've seen him play loads, but is he really good enough to be representing a club like Rangers?
  11. Unfortunately, you will have those fans who are going because they are "loyal" and wanting to "support the boys." That's a very closed mindset, and one that fails to see the bigger picture i.e. you may not have a club to go to in the coming seasons if this carries on as it is. The owner has been exploiting people's loyalty for over a decade now. He's known that 20k would turn up every other week, irrespective of how badly he was behaving and running the football club. It's clear that the boycotts/protests are working and the pressure needs to be ramped up and up. I can't speak for anyone else here, but, if the end is nigh, then I'd take a degree of satisfaction in knowing that it was the fans who dealt the final blow and cost Channers everything.
  12. He's an odd character Martin. I've heard people say that he's actually a top bloke, but that doesn't come across when conducting his press duties, were he appears arrogant, conceited and deluded. He had to hit the ground running to have a chance there. Say what you want about the relative standard of the division, the fact is the expectation at a club like Rangers is massive compared to most Championship teams.
  13. Agreed. Some people will inevitably go for whatever reason. But if the home support attendance is akin to a first round in the league cup against Rochdale, then I think a point has been made.
  14. Called it months ago. Just a terrible fit all round.
  15. Good to see you've gotten over it
  16. It was just a weird appointment. Even if you try and park Ange's awful record in the league, then there is still the fact he wants to play a completely different style of football to the guy he replaced. Also, Nuno was loved by the Forest fans, so the guy replacing him was always up against it if they didn't make a decent start. Reckon they will sack him over the international break.
  17. He spoke gently into his ear. The invading fan was only 4ft 7.
  18. He may do, but he'll lose.
  19. I was far more annoyed about the loss to them last season. Never nice to lose five nil at home but this whole season feels like it should have a massive aaterix against it/us. Cov will take some stopping though. They were very good.
  20. Quite. He'd have lost before he started. Throw in all the other stuff too.
  21. "So, your client maintains that he is suitable to run this football club as playing and non playing staff go unpaid and we find ourselves here..."
  22. People need to engage their brains a bit. If there was any litigation, then it would be around his suitability to run a football club. You can't really argue that you're suitable during litigation as you refuse to put any money into the thing you are arguing for suitable ownership over.
  23. Yeah, he's not going to get away with funding a litigation with the regulator whilst the thing they are fighting over is going out of business.
  24. Suppose he has the international break to work with them now, but it's easy to forget that they had a significant drop off in form towards the back end of last season, which cost them automatic promotion. Wilder was in charge then. Time will tell, but perhaps the issue wasn't getting rid of Wilder (contrary to what his mate's in the media will tell you) and more to do with replacing him with an absolute dud.
