The point I’m making is that all football shirts are massively overpriced, not just ours. I bought my son a Barcelona shirt from one of their club shops when I went there on a Stag Do recently, it was €110 with a name & number on the back. So it clearly is an industry issue, the fact we get ripped off a bit more than other Championship supporters doesn’t mean that an England shirt at £85 from Sports Direct is better value.

I think the answer to that is pretty obvious given the track record of a certain someone who can’t be named.

Just done a quick Google search, Man City shirt is £80 adults/£60 kids, Newcastle same price. So it’s an industry issue & not just Wednesday who are ripping supporters off. This will be the first year that both my lads need Youth kits, which means buying shirt/shorts/socks separately, as opposed to buying a mini kit with everything included. Works out at £89 each. I’ll pay it because my eldest especially lives in football kits, but it’s an obscene amount of money really.

The players are back in for pre season on Friday, surely we can’t be far away from moving onto other targets? Obviously we’re not privy to the negotiations, but how much longer can we wait?

Windass himself was pretty average for most of last season, luckily he found some form at a crucial time.

There was a thread after we played Norwich at home absolutely slating Windass. Before he found some form in the last 3 games a large number of people were saying we should be looking to move him on at the end of the season. I personally rate him as a player, but his injury record in the last 3 years hasn’t been great. I’d imagine he’s one of our biggest earners, & is 30 now, if we can reinvest his salary on 2 x younger players who are available more often than not, then that’s fair enough IMO.

Anybody who watched us under Xisco will appreciate the achievement of staying up, because we were absolutely dreadful. That Sunderland game on the Friday night was horrific, we looked like a non league team.
