Why would he care about players getting injured - he was happy to let thousands of fans sit in a stand week after week with unaddressed safety concerns hanging over it. The ‘man’ is an absolute weasel. I can almost forgive the lack of football knowledge, the funds drying up, the occasional rant…. But the total derogation of any responsibility to his staff and the fans, the absence of any communication and the disregard shown toward the reputation of the 150-year old institution of which he is a custodian… it’s pathetic. He’s as gutless as he is clueless.

Talksport/The Sun - 15 Point penalty
paulrs replied to The General's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
These rules are created on the basis that the owner cares what happens to their club. Which in 99% of cases they do. But occasionally you get an incompetent spineless weasel like Chansiri who clearly doesn’t give a monkeys and then punishments like points deductions become unfit for purpose. This is where forceably removing the owner is the owner legitimate punishment- 190 replies

Yes there was time wasting and some subs and a couple of injuries but you get that in most games… and most games don’t play over 11 minutes stoppage time.

Damn! You win

Can’t read the article but is there anything actually broken at United? New owners came in with their own philosophy which is fine, appointed a manager to fit, didn’t work out so made a pragmatic decision to go back to the old manager who’ll probably do a good job. Aside from that they’ve had 3 promotions to the Prem since we were last in, improved the stadium, invested in a new academy facility at Dore, got a better commercial operation and sold numerous players for huge profit. I wouldn’t mind us being as broken as that

Not a dig at you personally but I don’t like people calling him “Channers” or even “DC”. It infers a chumminess he doesn’t deserve. ”Chansiri” is the most respectful name he deserves these days, but I’d also accept “the idiot”, “incompetent fool”, “useless pr*ck”, “spineless w@nk3r”

Edit: just read the BBC report and sounds like there is no rule. It’s decided on a case by case basis which seems utterly barmy. Why can’t there be a rule, at least for weather abandonments, that if a certain amount of time has been played the result stands?
-
Have they not just applied a rule here? There must be a simple rule about abandoned games and therefore no grey area. Is it 75 minutes have to be completed? 80 minutes? The score and sending off shouldn’t come into it because then it becomes a subjective judgement about what would’ve happened.

Usually a medium, ordered a medium, fits perfectly in my opinion although I do like it quite fitted rather than loose
-
3rd kit arrived on Friday - decent enough quality and a perfect medium fit. Blue & white, classic owl, no sponsor and £11 delivered. What’s not to like?

Forgot to press enter on this the other night Horvath: 7 Emery: 6 Weaver: 6 McGhee: 5 Johnson: 6 Fusire: 6 Thornton: 5 Shipston: 5 Kobacki: 6 J. Lowe: 6 Brown: 7 MoM Alao: 7 Otegbayo: 6 Bannan: 6 Ugbo: 6 McNeill: 6 slim pickings for MOM but Brown and Alao were the only ones who produced a couple of flashes of quality. Shame Brown was robbed of a certain goal by a tremendous last ditch tackle

We’ve had 3 potential wing backs (Seqeuira, Kobacki & Johnson) get injured in one week. That’s some going even by our standards.

Pedersen said last week that Bernard was still a way off. Sounded like November was a realistic timeframe for his return. Sure I read or heard recent Barrett was fit now but noticed he wasn’t on the bench the other night so dunno what’s gone on there

Hard to judge on just an hour, but agree he didn’t look out of place at all and if anything was one of the brighter performers

To those saying we shouldn’t criticise younger players…. just cos the club is run by a total spineless fckwit and we’ve been left with a threadbare squad, doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to make assessments and give opinion on who’s played well / poorly and who looks like they might make it at this level and who won’t. If we’re going to say that’s not allowed we might as well close the match day section and just stick to the boardroom threads. I totally appreciate these young lads have been thrown in when they’re probably not ready but we can surely still have a discussion about which ones have something about them and which look out of their depth

I thought the same as the OP to be honest. He’s quite mobile for his size, comfortable on the ball and can pick a pass. He just doesn’t seem like a natural defender at all to me.

Would it be illegal to politely ‘storm’ the south stand and sit in the directors box? If you have a ticket that permits you into the same stand but all you’re effectively doing is sitting in the wrong seat? Would make a statement if 100 people did it and filled the box - if it’s legal

Why aren't fans constantly protesting during the game?
paulrs replied to TheGaffer's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Because the fans with the biggest appetite for protest aren’t there- 138 replies

When I saw the thread title I thought it was going to be about the facial recognition technology

Is it more fitted than the original? Those mid-90s shirts were baggy as owt.
