  1. I agree. Still quite a tough watch, listening to the scrubbers singing songs praising Chansiri, but I'm already over it. There's no huge credit to them beating our ramshackle bunch. There's a far bigger picture to what's going on at Wednesday, results on the pitch are of little consequence this season - even against the porcine mob.
  2. I rarely stick it to individual players but his all round game is just woeful at the moment and has been for a long time. Cadamarteri replacing him is the most obvious substitution of the year
  3. Apart from this line: The i Paper has been told that another Middle Eastern consortium who were working with a London-based advisory firm have withdrawn from the process, primarily due to the anticipated competitiveness of the auction, as well as concern about Wednesday’s ongoing running costs. .. that article just regurgitates info widely already known. Even describes Ashley as an 'expected bidder' - so just guesswork like everyone else.
  4. If online sources are correct... Players whose deals expire in 2026 Cooper M Lowe Amass Chalobah Ingelsson Bannan Brown Horvath Iorfa Weaver Palmer Johnson Shipston J Lowe Thornton Players whose deals expire in 2027 Charles Valery Bernard Fusire McNeill Otegbayo Players whose deals expire in 2028 Cadamarteri Kobacki Ugbo
  5. Last time Pederson talked about the injured players it didn't sound like any of them would be back by now. Also seems a lot to throw a player even of Cooper's experience into the intensity of a derby game with literally no practice. I would expect Horvath Palmer Iorfa Lowe Fusire Valery Bannan Ingelsson Amass Lowe Cadamarteri Cooper on the bench possibly
  6. Think Kobacki and Chalobah have both had setbacks during their recovery but I think both - along with Charles, Bernard and Brown - may all be back before Christmas if I remember correctly. Weaver might not play again this season
  7. He was still working as a physio just before Covid hit... I went for an appointment on Ecclesall Road South to get my dodgy achilles looked at and it turned out the "Rodger" who was treating me was Rodger Wylde. I'm too young to remember him playing but I absolutely knew who he was, and yes I guess he must've been about 65/66 but he was in tremendous nick and a lovely guy to talk to. To this day he's the only ex-Wednesday player to have rubbed my leg AND given me his number

  9. Cadamarteri brothers up front together next season in League One would be exciting and not beyond the realms of possibility
  10. Tired to sign Wright, Fairclough and McCarthy... and ended up with Greg Fee. Owlstalk would've been in meltdown that summer As for McCall, I associate him totally with the 90/91 promotion season, what great days they were

  12. 1100 in the last 24 hours. I’d expect another good day today and then sales to maybe tail off a bit. predict we’ll be 1500-2000 short of a sell-out
  13. "Hello Mr Wigfield - my name's Sirichan" [yes... that will do]
  14. Sold 3200 in 48 hours since Monday afternoon
  15. Don’t get me wrong - I’d like to think it’s achievable and there’s nothing wrong with setting ambitious targets. I just think once the initial euphoria of Chansiri’s exit dies down and we’re into winter games while marooned at the foot of the table, 30000 at every game will be a tall order Of course what could alter that is if an exciting new owner is announced before Christmas and we’re able to sign some players in January - that could keep the optimism running high.
  16. So based on the stats on here we’ve sold over 3000 tickets between 3pm Monday and 11am Wednesday. 7 of those are mine. I mean if we continue at that rate there’ll only be a few hundred tickets dotted around the ground by the end of this week. That said, of all the good things Kris has said so far, the one thing I’d question was his assertion on Radio Sheffield that they expect 30000 at every home game now. I think that’s a bit optimistic.
  17. Great idea. Be typical Wednesday though to concede a goal on 9m 59s
  18. I’m guessing Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Chelsea, Villa, Everton, Liverpool, Man City, Man U, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds and us? I’d maybe put Forest in there too
  19. Charles came in looked great got a bad injury Weaver came in looked great got a bad injury Brown came in looked great got a bad injury You can add Johnson, Shipston, Siqeuira and Fernandes to that list. Yes there’s some bad luck there but forcing young lads to play week after week and after a half arsed pre season…. Just another thing to add to Cunsiri’s list of shame. But why would he care about player safety when we was happy to let thousands of fans sit in an unsafe stand every week. Leprosy would be too good for that snake.
  20. Why would he care about players getting injured - he was happy to let thousands of fans sit in a stand week after week with unaddressed safety concerns hanging over it. The ‘man’ is an absolute weasel. I can almost forgive the lack of football knowledge, the funds drying up, the occasional rant…. But the total derogation of any responsibility to his staff and the fans, the absence of any communication and the disregard shown toward the reputation of the 150-year old institution of which he is a custodian… it’s pathetic. He’s as gutless as he is clueless.

  22. These rules are created on the basis that the owner cares what happens to their club. Which in 99% of cases they do. But occasionally you get an incompetent spineless weasel like Chansiri who clearly doesn’t give a monkeys and then punishments like points deductions become unfit for purpose. This is where forceably removing the owner is the owner legitimate punishment
