  1. The pathetic comments from Lampard that he feared for his players sums up what an egocentric he is. No idea what the protest was about and players were never going to be compromised. Also his poor dears having played a day later than us midweek seemed to be reasonably fit, looking at the score. Get some empathy lampard!!
  2. I’ve thought that the fit and proper test or commitment should include a financial bond the owner lodges with the authorities. When in this case the EFL impose sanctions, they should be hitting the owner in the pocket and not penalising the club, players and supporters who have no say in what strategies the owner and or board make. Why deduct points and embargo deals when the supporters and club employees have not had any responsibility for foolish decisions? The current football governance, if it exists at all, is feudal at best. Keep the serfs down is the motto and whether the new regulators will be given real teeth or just badly fitting dentures remains to be seen. Not much help for our current plight though.
  3. …,or is Charles not badly injured but being advertised as such to keep courtiers’ interest low? No, I don’t think so either. Too cunning for you know who.
  4. Condolences. First “ever the pessimist” and now your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  5. Have the EFL done this to deflect the media questions, as yet unanswered, they’re increasingly being asked? You decide!
  6. Years ago a then PL survey put us and Southampton as the least optimistic fans. Still much the same then. Incidentally, Newcastle were the most optimistic in that survey. ,
  7. I believe it was Stalin who said: “never put down to conspiracy that which can be explained by stupidity” (or along those lines)
  8. This a nettle that I believe should have been grasped even before Mandaric’s involvement. Taking the certain hit of administration could have meant largely keeping our identity and rebuilding a division or so down. I know the feelings about doing tradespeople out of their owed money but maybe worth it for the longer term good. Yes, that ship has sailed, hit an iceberg and sunk!
