Controversial I’m sure, but once he’s back from injury does Pierce Charles walk back into the starting lineup?
I was (extremely) apprehensive about Horvath before his arrival but actually I think he has done ok so far and on paper, we’re conceding less overall with him in goal.
PC played 3 games in all comps before injury and conceded 8 goals (2.7 goals per game).
EH has played 7 games in all comps since arriving and has conceded 10 goals (1.4 goals per game).
It could reasonably be argued that as a team the players are gelling and finding their groove so it’s as much to do with that than anything else, but equally Horvath has pulled off some excellent saves that have either kept us in games or at least made the scoreline more flattering.
With all of that said though, Charles is our player and Horvath is not and it’s undeniable that Charles is a hugely talented player with a massive future ahead of him, but let’s say (just imagine) we keep picking up a few points here and there and scrape our way up to 15th place or thereabouts and Charles comes back from injury.
Does he walk back into the first eleven or does he need to fight for it?
