We may be on our arse but at least we're not Blades
Salmonbones replied to Pablo Bonvin's topic in General Football Chat
We can't put out a proper first 11 without having to play multiple players out of their natural position, yet they claim their squad is older then ours. No, you piggy scrubbers, your first 11 is about on a par with our first 11 age, but your squad is about 7 years older then ours if you consider who we have as backup, also consider several of the players in our first team 11 would not be starting under normal circumstances. They will dine out on this for years, but guess what? And I'm sure I'll be yet again quoted on s24 scrubberland website - we are on our way back, and you cannot stand it. If things were reversed, and I were a blade (spit) I'd be disgusted on how my team had played today, throwing themselves to the ground at every opportunity, being down right dirty gets and conning the ref at every opportunity. Typical scummy play by them - they never disappoint. Universally hated more then even Leeds. -
If we were to change manager, something that I'm not actually advocating - I'd go for Mat Sadler. He knows how he wants to play, he has adopted it very well at Walsall. A former defender, he's not gung ho, but does know how to play on the front foot. He's got some plaudits already and won several manager of the month awards - I think he's ready for the next step.

The only reason there was not grief after the game is because they won. Scummy manager, scummy fans. -

He has done what every other professional does, for once. Probably has been given the scarborough warning by those above - if most of them are yanks they do not like the people in the headlights to be anything other then professional. -
In League 1 we'll get the scoop on the out of contract players. I have no doubt we'll get a good squad to get us promoted.

I think some players are getting undue criticism. A lot of these players should have played a lot less football this season and others under normal circumstances would not have been starters. Several players are being played out of position also, due to not being able to fully do a complete starting 11 in natural positions. I'd even go as far as saying today Ugbo actually put a bit of a shift in, but it's ok - let's slate a bunch of guys playing football under very bad circumstances. Today wasn't about the result, for the first time I'm taking a derby defeat on the chin and I'm still quite excited for next season now.

No, it is very impossible. If you think otherwise you are a dimwit. Not in a million years can anyone build on Hillsborough park..

I'm going because I always go, well apart from one game this season that a lot of us didn't go to. I'm expecting defeat - what I'm saying is that I think the future is bright now, and it's Blue and White. One game will not define our future. No games this season will define our future, but I would like to still go down with a fighting mentality - as we have so far this season. -
It's literally just had work on it to enhance it, now the tennis area is indoors with a cafe next door. I've just looked up and there are 9 legal reasons why this cannot be even considered for use as anything other then a park.

What am I rewriting and ignoring? It's impossible to use Hillsborough park for a multitude of reasons. It is actually impossible to use that land to build a stadium on. Impossible.

We will lose tomorrow, and you know what? None of us are bothered about that. Our season was over before it started, them however had actual reasons to think things could be good. I'm not dismayed by going down, I'm not dismayed we went into admin, although I think we as a group of fans should be apologetic to any companies who lose out due to getting pennies in the pound potentially for what they are owed, that I am upset about. But we need a fresh start. I do wish the myth that we've been in admin before that the grunters are putting out there though would be put to bed. They are saying this continually, and people are believing it. -
I quoted two reasons. There are about a dozen why your plan cannot happen.
-
Impossible, for multiple reasons. There was a law in 1972 that prohibits this for instance, and then you have covenants in place also.
-
That's why I started out with I'm not sure it's going to happen, and if it does it could be 5 to 10 years away from opening.
-
Are you open to people asking if other specific individuals are involved?

I saw some land near Shalesmoor that is empty, and buildings behind it and at both sides set for demolition. I don't know if it's quite a big enough footprint, but it's approaching it. Would need a road removing and several of the "for demolition" buildings gone mind.

Sadly you have to be kind of a nutcase to want to own a football club.

Being brutally honest, not sure this will happen - and if it does, could be easily 5 to 10 years from now for the move. One thing though, can both clocks and the surroundings be incorporated please. Not replica's, the actual ones we currently have. Also, if you could try to mimic the shape of the kop as it currently is, without the mound underneath which made it's shape unique. Thanks.

So, big weekend ahead - win lose or draw it matters not. My main concern is we have bidders in, and now it's a lottery if we get good, decent or bad owner(s) I think the trust needs to stay focused, and try to align with the new owner from day one if possible. If anything, it means we need more then ever to back the trust. We have had false dawns before. WAWAW
