  1. He was before my time, but my late dad used to tell me about how good Ron Springett was
  2. Sadly, I agree with @Dorsetowl1997 on this. I'm convinced we're just another one of those clubs that have had our time in top-flight football. At least I and a lot more of us have happy memories of the early nineties
  3. I've always believed that if a player is good enough then he's old enough. However, I agree that many of these youngsters are "having" to play due to our threadbare squad and we all know it's very tough outside the PL. Such a shame about Ernie, as he really looks the part. Can only wish him a speedy recovery
  4. Hahahaha! Outstanding
  5. We have an owner called Chansiri Who makes all the fans weary The regulator came in, punched him on the chin Now soon things will no longer be dreary I made that up myself. Biologically I'm 53, physically I feel 83 and mentally I'm around 8...hahaha
  6. Absolutely, mate. Our away following is and always has been brilliant and the travelling fans make more noise than our home fans. Yes, it's a perfect way to maximise protest levels
  7. There'll always be the ones that go "to support the lads" while sitting there in silence. Creatures of habit and all that. I applaud the boycotters, especially the long-time ST holders. Keep at it everyone, he will not beat the fans
  8. It'd be funny if we announced further pitch invasions but make them "fake" ones just to force the oxygen thief to spend more money on additional security. Obviously not if it means other staff don't get paid
  9. Haha, same! Only thing that fits me from back then are some flip flops...
  10. Sad news, genuinely nice chap. RIP Milan
  11. I might buy this and set it up in a pub car park, hahaha
  12. I liked the tennis balls/whistles idea, especially the former since it did disrupt games, albeit in a harmless way
  13. I'm working nights all weekend but will set my alarm to watch the game on TV tomorrow. I'm personally not expecting any pitch invasions. The only thing I am anticipating is another proud, battling performance from the lads but can't see anything beyond a Coventry win, sadly
  14. Brilliant post, mate. Very well said indeed. I've been a Wednesday fan for over forty years and haven't felt this close to or connected to the club for a long time. Like everyone else, I just can't wait for the current disastrous episode to be over
  15. I went to buy some bread earlier but didn’t, as the baker had brown fingers. He must’ve kneaded a poo…
  16. Haha! I remember that well, as I twagged work for the afternoon, only to get home to discover the match was abandoned! I did manage to get to the rearranged game though
  17. Top level football is poor to watch. I used to have to watch my stepsons play, one in the EPL and one in League 2/Conference. The former was from 2015-2019 and although there were a few half decent games, the latter was “proper football” as it were. Modern game, at elite level, is boring to watch now
  18. Oh and earlier today, she asked which of her friends I'd like to have a threesome with. Apparently I was only supposed to name one...
  19. The wife's just had a right go at me for being useless at housework! The cheeky cowbag has no idea how long it took me to mop that carpet
  20. I don't know what else we, as fans, can do apart from the obvious (stop attending, stop spending)
  21. I picked up Fish and Chips on my way home from work, missus still isn't happy. I think she regrets letting me name the kids...
