The players are professionals and we shouldn't expect them to breach their contracts and risk monies they are owed. The trust could/should arrange for the fans to watch the players kick off and then walk out.

All.over, 0-1. Ran out of steam in the end as they closed it out.

75 gone, still 0-1. Another good save from Barrett closing down the striker after a neat through ball but two half chances for Wednesday as Bayliss and Evers both advanced from the corner of the box but Bayliss was crowded out and Evers' shot was weak and at the keeper.

Hour gone, and SU just wasted a one on one that would have doubled the lead. Rio Shipston is finding more time and space so far in this half and struck one just over the bar from the edge of the area a few minutes ago. Still 0-1

Half time 0-1. Wednesday started well and should have been ahead. Bayliss inexplicably tried a pass when a shot looked the option, Fernandes hit the bar from a tight angle and Ridge steered a volley from a corner wide. Then they gave the ball away between defence and midfield and the winger advanced to the edge of the area and shot low. The ball went under Barrett - think he'll be disappointed. Since then just one proper chance; Barrett made a good save when a goal looked certain.

0-1. Wednesday have had the better of it, missed chances, hit the bar, so obviously they gave the ball away at the back in the 20th minute and were punished for it.

Just signed for Charlton.

Just a day later 10-man Sunderland scored a late equaliser against Villa to get a point. How is this even a conversation? Of course it has to be replayed. It was only 1-0. In 1961 Denis Law scored 6 goals as a match against Luton was abandoned at 6-2. City lost the replayed game 3-1.

Hillsborough club closing down...
Haggis replied to Imre Varadi's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Though when I get an late Friday night tram back to Hillsborough the old traditions still look strong on West Street! #carnage -
Even if he was the new Lionel Messi the EFL wouldn't allow him to be registered. I would suggest he goes to train with Park Steels or Hallam (or their local jon league side). If they are good enough they would move up the leagues pretty quickly, especially if they avoid signing contracts.

Barry Bannon needs to learn that you can't do those slide-along-the-surface tackles any more. -

I quite like the latest home kit. -

The chanting was starting up in the second half too but the band quite deliberately drowned it out by attempting to be extra loud. Fragile egos, pro-Chansiri, or both?

Lowest Saturday afternoon league attendance for nearly ten year, per my checks On Football webpages

Total boycott of next cup game
Haggis replied to Owl from Todwick's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I re-completed my 92 on Sunday with a trip to Everton, and it was definitely worth seeing. Exciting times for the club and had me thinking that any debate over a new stadium or a redeveloped Hillsborough is for the birds...but thats another thread. I won't slag off anyone going to games, though I choose to boycott. I won't slag off anyone having a pint at HT. The people around me debated among themselves and only had one where they might have three. They are doing a bit, and might decide to do more long term. Turning on them and creating a them and us isn't the way to persuade them. -
I find the before the game suspension a bit weird. Not least because I have to get to town from Hillsborough at around 7!

£100 Million is the price tag (still)
Haggis replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Maybe the Trust should fundraise to pay a independent body for an actual valuation using the information publicly available. He thinks its worth £100m, 'experts' put it more like £40-£50m. If the Trust had an independent value from a reputable firm would it give them ammunition in the argument? -
I dont believe that boycotting having paid for a season ticket will make any difference to Chansiri. I've joined the Trust, and they dont seem to be convinced that it would either. If they change their stance then, like others, I'd do what they suggest. Similar with inside the ground. Would rather not whistles though, that was very unpleasant to these autistic ears.

UEFA pro licence, been coach with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester, at Wigan and manager of Notts Co U21s. Good luck to him.

There was a real sense of the fans trying really hard not to berate the players today. They were clapped off at full time, and whilst there were groans I didn't hear any serious rants at them. Everyone knows whose fault it is.
